    1080p really?

correct me if i'm incorrect, but isn't 1080p actually 1920x1080 pixels..

therefore the res of the Tab at 1280x800 isn't ever going to show full 1080p without scaling it down??

    or am i being stooopid?

      Hey stooopid!

The small print says *scaled* 1080p videos at 30fps..

    Resolution

"Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Tab 7.7 Android tablet and, with its 1280 x 800-dpi touchscreen..."

"Samsung was keen to highlight the Tab 7.7’s media viewing capabilities with its display capable of showing 1080p videos at full-resolution"

One of these two statements is false - I wonder which.

    P.S. 1280x800 "dpi" ?

I would guess that it can accommodate a HDMI cable to plug into a telly

Samsung are starting to piss me off

They announced the 8.9 months ago and still dont have a release date.

For all the pain that comes along with the apple product launches at least when the launch they actually launch the thing.. to * gasp* sell

Dear Samsung, please remove thumb from arse and start selling some stuff..

    HDMI? USB?

I've been waiting for a nice 7"-8" tablet as I think it's a better size than the current 10" ones.

However if it doesn't have HDMI/USB (or the micro versions of them) then it significantly loses appeal.

      HDMI

I reckon it will. It would be crazy not to.

        if you believe Samsung

That's what I thought about the micro SD slot on the galaxy tab 10.1 but it eventually came with no slot. I won't take any spec from Samsung as final until I see an actual retail version.
