    Consult on reforming intellectual property laws.

    For f***s sake not again!?

    This must be about the third time in as many years that the idiots in the civil service have consulted on intellectual property laws... and ignored the feedback because people stubbornly refused to tell them what they wanted to hear.

    Presumably this is now a case of asking the same question over and over and over again until you get the answer you want?

    Probably a good idea only for small firms. Big firms will just take advantage of it with no benefit to the country or people.

    E.G. Dyson creating "Dyson Research" and saying everything it does is R&D to claim tax benefits. Then sub-contracting most of the work to Malaysia, China and India while making engineers, scientists and technicians in the UK redundant, saying that there is no work for them...

      So what?

      When resources in the UK are prepared to work for lower ages, they'll find themselves back in employment. Until then they just have to accept hat emerging economies have a lower costs advantage. It's just business.
