Ok so you pay for an operating system, then hire the software to make it work, Man these marketing people are good, or is this M$ admitting that their OS's are not fit for purpose, and if so can we get our money back

      's for fricking management

It is for managing client machines you idiot - or do desktop computers magically manage themselves in whatever fairy land you live in?

Interesting Point Solution - For Now

Having had a play with the beta, Intune looks like a pretty interesting proposition. If you're a small company, and/or in particular if you have to manage machines outside of the corporate firewall, Intune is great for software updates and basic monitoring for disk space, app crashes, etc. and for basic inventory reporting.

When/if it gets software distribution and OS imaging capabilities it's going to be a very interesting piece of kit.

That all depends, James Boag, on what you think the purpose of their OS are. If you realise they are Remote Intellectual Property Phishing Nets, then with foreign intelligence collected/purloined are they in quite a strong position to counter and/or use what has been landed for themselves and feeding partner/license holders. And no one gets their money back, unless a criminal court orders it so.

    With XP

With XP workstations. I'm not seeing the need for any cloud.

PS: I spent way too much time with Joli Cloud only to have broken functionality and DOS.
