    Go boffins!

    Refined observations aren't nearly as sexy as initial observations which show up in headlines. E.g. Initial observation - "Tabby's Star may have alien megastructure". Refined observation - "no it doesn't".

    But we can learn so much from them. Kudos to the boffins who are working to refine our knowledge of exoplanets.

    P.S. Hopefully they won't follow their namesake, Cheops, a.k.a Khufu, who attempted to erase his father Sneferu from history and take credit for his works.

    They should have gone with CHESS. At least it would have been a better fit.

      Our transatlantic bretheren seem particularly fond of the DOOM (riDiculously tenOusly cOntrived acronyM) - all their political Acts have seem to have these cracker-pun titles.
