    promoting the conservation of vultures.

    Perhaps, when an opportunity presents itself, the Register could even organize a whip-round for some suitable vulture-focussed charity... I'm sure they will be desperately short of old computers, bags full of hideously tangled serial cables, old hard drives of now unimpressive capacity, and dot-matrix printers. Or perhaps some money :-)
