    So, all this does is hand over every single crypto wallet using SGX to Intel, right? Intel after all is the one that licenses things running on SGX and retains access ability from a technical perspective.

      Yes. These chips don't have the ability to phone home any more than existing ones. That is--they don't. As for the pre-boot "management engine" root kits, that's another matter entirely.

    Have you noticed that when technologies like these are introduced, we think finally they are taking security seriously. Then corporations immediately come back from 180 degrees offset and think "that will keep out those nosy security researchers - pick apart our code will they...."
