      At a guess, whoever was packaging it has moved over to NextCloud along with many of the developers.

        ISTR that (pretty much) develpment has ceased at OwnCloud and it's largely a dead product. NextCloud has (as you said) taken over as a fork and the majority of devs and package developers have gone over to NC.

        I believe it was somewhat of a foot->shotgun interface moment.
