Juicero was an even worse idea than they talked about on the podcast
It’s been a few episodes since they switched to the new intro music, but I still love it.
I think Peter’s idea of drone-delivered glasses of orange juice is probably just as feasible as the Juicero.
Hackaday had an article about a teardown of the Juicero, based on a very lengthy article on bolt.io. The summary was the Juicero was severely overengineered and the large number of precision custom parts probably accounted for a huge amount of cost both in design and on a per-unit basis. It's interesting to read, but I wonder how many millions were spent on those custom parts.
