Now what?
My guess is there is a private equity company behind VM Bidco.
They will split the bounty into two companies:
One will exist solely to support existing Violin Memory customer's support contracts. This company might be sold off to some services company.
The second will be to hold Violin Memory's intellectual property (i.e., patents). I assume this company will exist to make money off of licensing VMEM's patents to other companies, and to pursue patent infringement. This company could be sold off to some other IP clearinghouse or patent trolling company.
