      Likely a large company such as Microsoft at least to some extent will cover the risk of currency exchange rate movements with FX hedges back to USD, so they would only need adjust the exchange rates between countries every year or so....

    Australians getting a hefty discount? That's just wrong. Aussies are supposed to pay though the nose for everything, except cane toad leather products.

    Isn't it wonderful.

    Arbitrage is a wonderful thing. Someone has different exchange rates than you and you move money from place to place. Currency traders do it all the time.

    The shame is that something as big as Micro$oft can't keep up to date on exchange rates, maybe they need to ask Google what the rate is today.

    Oh, well. Better luck next time Microsoft.

      The alternative is to either have a single currency for charges or to change pricing constantly making it difficult to keep up.

      Neither option works well, hence we get a situation where stuff like this crops up.
