    While exams are useful, infosec skills need to be honed in the trenches dealing with real attacks, real (incompetent) users, assorted PHBs, mismatched kit, obsolete kit, etc. Unless the exams follow the PE exam in the US (must take the EIT exam, then work ~ 5 years under a PE, then you can take the PE) they will only show "book" knowledge.
