What would you give to create Vulture Sweat?
I'd welcome the opportunity to enter an event that wasn't 9000 miles away.
What would you give to create Vulture sweat? We're hoping you'll give a few dollars because this is a very good cause. Reg APAC Editor Simon Sharwood will make some Vulture Sweat this coming weekend, as he participates in the “Gongride”, the annual bike ride from Sydney to the nearby city of Wollongong. At 83kms and 415 …
I believe it involves strapping the bicycle and cyclist upside down on a home trainer for the first 414.5km of the climb, then cutting the straps and watching him pedal like a insane monkey for the next 82.99km whilst trying to catch the El Reg team that staged a playmobil mockup of aforementioned incident.
More worried about the 85kms - that's 85 kilometre seconds. That's a partially inverted speed, right? I'm having trouble working out exactly what that means in normal terms. Bit of a Gordian Knot really.
workDone / time = force
length / time = speed
speed / force = length / workDone
As this result demonstrates, you can ignore time as it is an illusion, especially at lunch time (as it cancels itself out)
So length / workDone, it's a tractor pull!
