    Android?

Does it run android, and is it as easy to root as the NST? An outdoor readable tab is a handy addition to the collection...

    All that useless space...

A 4gig device with only 500meg available for non-official books. Crazy. And no way to root it. Bad. And rather ugly too.

Yeah, but Christ, how many books will 500mb hold? Text compresses like nobody's business and it's minuscule to begin with. What, say, 500 pages at 10 words per line and 50 lines per page - well, novels are usually around 60k words on the short side? Say 100k to be generous, and 10 bytes per word... That only gets you to 1mb per book uncompressed. Does anyone outside of edge cases really want more than six or seven hundred books on tap at a moment's notice?

      Agreed.

      No likey nooky booky.

Apart from the colour, there's an awful lot of margin around the display.
