Andromeda, named after the mythical Greek princess known for her beauty
1) Andromeda is the daughter of Cephus and Cassiopeia, who are Ethiopian, not Greek.
2) Andromeda is "known for her beauty" because of her mother's hubris in declaring she was more beautiful than the Nereids, and was punished by Poseidon.

"a classical education does eventually come in handy."
Glad to hear it.
My daughter is taking classical civilisations (Greek and Roman) at 'o'level (or whatever they are called these days) instead of History (for which the topic is "The politics of Europe in the inter-war years"). Got to admit the classical one sounds more interesting, and it now looks like it may come in handy if she ever becomes a commentard.

You might find that most of the work behind these stunning images was actually done in the UK & Europe. The SPIRE camera was built in Cardiff, the PACS camera was built in France and this project is led by Ghent University... Not belittling the help of JPL & the US, of course.
And yes, it did take a lot of IT to process the images :)
