    Having worked on Defence projects in Australia

    I can verify that wherever I have worked they have taken computer security very seriously. Then again, none of this stuff would have been classified SECRET, so maybe that's the problem.

    Nevertheless, they should track down “Darwinaire” and explain to him the error of his ways.

    There's no "national security" angle here at all. No different to any other uni getting owned.

    It's a university computer system, run by UNSW. The system in question is not owned, managed, operated by or otherwise has anything to do with Defence.

    Don't know if I'd go there for a computer security degree though!
