    That blue is bright

....enough to wake up a person in a coma.

Maybe someone should tell Nokia that the blue and white of the original iMac went out of fashion about 15 years ago.

          You may have a point

I like the colours, but, plasticky brand identities have lately been associated with very low cost phones for 12 year olds, which cost £20 and are no great loss if they get run over by a bus. The phones I mean, not the 12 year olds. Nokia are trying to move away from that price segment. Tricky one.

Jesus Christ, that's even fuglier than the UI

...and given it's running Win Phone 7 .5, that's one hell of an achievement.

    Just in time

For everyone to have zero funds.

Sure people will be out sale shopping, but precious few will be looking to buy new gadgets. They'll be out gobbling up discounted wares, then spend the next month or two recovering from the spending spree from the last couple of months.

    Meh

    Price

If the 710 sells for Nokia's recommended price it will be about £277 SIM free (including tax). The equivalent price for the 800 is £431. The phones are nearly identical apart from the display (the 710 has a TFT, the 800 OLED), a slightly downgraded camera and a less sexy (but probably more practical case).

So of course Nokia don't want to put the 710 on the market before Christmas!

    Where is the Elop icon?

Role of Windows 8 in Lumia 800

Will the Nokia Lumia 800 will be upgradable or not to Windows 8?

Or will it stay with Windows 7.5 for it's lifespan? I run a blog at http://www.needmobile.com and how Windows 8 fits into Microsoft's phone and tablet strategy is still fuzzy.

    Would be nice to know.
