      You assume that

      Calderon is offering the settlement as opposed to crapple trying to get him to settle for a lucrative gag order which I would deem far more likely.

    Did money change hands, was it sanctioned by those above?

    Will Apple form a private police force, will they sponsor police department vehicles?

    Will suspects be read their Apple rights on arrest?
