it's a great shame if Lee Nackman's been sidelined. As a relative newcomer to MS, he's one of the few guys who understood what needed to be done and didn't mind rattling a few lifers there who were only interested in their stock options.
If the whole identity team has been spun into Online Services, then you can kiss any execution on the IDA strategy goodbye. The Online Services guys are a bunch of monkeys (but they dont get paid peanuts).
I read this article the day it was published, and didn't know at the time that Microsoft had shut down CardSpace. Way back in February. Which to me sounds like a more plausible explanation for Kim's resignation - it effectively stops the Identity Metasystem in its tracks. Which is a shame, because there is nothing else like it.
