    VPL and artist royalties

    VPL don't pass royalties on to artists. They pass them on to the record company which IS the same if you self -release but not if you are signed to practically any label large or small. The costs of video production are recouped from these incoming royalties before artists see any money which results in 99% of artists never seeing a penny.
