    'Strewth, that's one helluva business flight. Not even a glass of complimentary champagne on boarding. Even at the destination, the food's crap, and, worse, the water's piss-awful...

    If they don't know what a contract is...

    Obviously a contract doesn't mean much, the US should just scrap the whole thing and put the money into accelerating their program.

    Eh?

    The present contract ends in 2011, and the new one starts in 2012.

    Nothing will really change next year as far as sending crews to and from the ISS is concerned. The Shuttle can;t stay up long enough to provide for emergency evacuation.

    And Ares is meant for going back to the Moon. Overkill for servicing the ISS.

    Actually, this is saving money

    With the cost of each Shuttle flight reckoned to be around US$60million, NASA will still be saving US$9million with each trip that isn't on the Shuttle.

    Why all of these space tourism reports...

    ... people have been saying for years that no one is willing to pay millions of dollars for a joy ride into space. The Russians should catch a clue and stop offering this service.
