IDC has a history of being enthusiastic about whoever is paying them. Look at their Itanium predictions.
This report says two things:
Microsoft paid for the report
They really hope that Android loses market share.
Perhaps it also says the following:
IDC people actually believe both iOS and Android will continue to dominate the market.
