Re: They only kidnapped, drugged and raped her...
Didn't a rapist walk free recently in California because of a quirk in Californian law? I can't remember all the details but it had something to do with the fact that the victim was not married.
A hacking attack by self-proclaimed members of Anonymous has uncovered highly disturbing data relating to a rape case in Steubenville, Ohio, that has garnered national attention. In August a 16-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted at a series of parties in the Ohio town. Numerous pictures, tweets, and videos were broadcast of …
@John R.
Sad but true - it's not rape if you pretend to be her boyfriend, apparently. As I heard it, she was asleep with her boyfriend, the boyfriend left, another male entered and she awoke to him raping her, which is charming. I would source this, but I'm not googling "rape" when I'm at work.
Whilst Anonymous might be a little over the hill, usually, this time they did right.
If you want a balanced, well written account of what happened, check out: < http://localleaks.blogs.ru/2013/01/01/steubenvillefiles/ >.
Nothing in a horror movie would encompass what allegedly happened, the us of the word "allegedly" here is hardly warranted. There were too many pieces of evidence to excuse the us of "allegedly".
As the father of a teenaged daughter, I was sickened by the vivid picture painted, teenaged boys dragging a 'trophy' around to share with their equally sick friends. A prime 'condoner' in this latest violence to a child seems, once again, to be a coach, who facilitated some of the early assaults on this child.
Where have we heard this before? Pennsylvania! Then, only last week, Hamline University (St. Paul, Minnesota) - the coach is at the centre of the allegations. Missoula, Montana Football Team - almost identical to Steubenville, Ohio.
Th allegedly crooked sheriff, a relative who is the drug king pin, a prosecutor whose son is on the team, and on and on.
Read the account < http://localleaks.blogs.ru/2013/01/01/steubenvillefiles >, you'll never sleep if your daughter isn't at home.
No icon - nothing is sufficiently dramatic for this picture of rural America.
If the facts are as reported on the link JaitcH posted then I wonder if the whole bunch of them (the rapists, their direct accomplices, and the alleged 'adults' who conspired to bury this case) could be prosecuted under the RICO act. IANAL but it does seem to fit the purpose for which the act was created.
Yes, I'd personally like to see all involved, dangling by the neck, from a stout tree branch. However, as that's not going to happen, seeing *all* of those involved rotting in jail for a long, long time is the next best option.
so, we have a video of some guy making jokes and hearsay at a party. crap jokes, though not a crime in itself.
interesting that even guys like this have a bit of knowledge of Mars surface conditions.
there probably isnt much point blurring the photos if youre going to post the video - as someone appears to mention her name.
If nothing else it shows a very, very sick attitude to the females of the species. THIS is what is so disturbing ... and why would a sane person allow the diatribe be recorded?
I think Michael Colin Nodianos is mentally challenged. Bet Nodianos wishes he hadn't made those statements, now.
After Ohio, they need to look at the American law enforcement Mafia in general, every town in America gas similar cases.
In Milton Florida, the Police looked the other way when a 12 year old child was raped in a parade, on a float, with a goat; no arrests of any of the kidnappers, no charges to the ones who ran that float.

I couldn't stop myself thinking of the Vatican digging Spiders from Mars, with Nets and Webs Spun to MicroMacroManage Contiguous Realities, CADmonkey. Does the Roman Catholic Church have a Party of the Erotic Left Wing? And with it tuned into Bunga Bunga Land would its Revised IT Service be remarkably satisfying :-)
The authorities in Ohio will try to protect the football players. I hope the victim's attorney is a good one. After being drugged unconscious the girl was transported and raped at three different homes. One of the homes belonged to an assistant football coach and another belonged to the female prosecutor who tried to bury the criminal case. The prosecutor's son was alleged to be a member of the "rape crew" and one of the girl's attackers. The owners of all three homes where the rapes occurred should be facing huge civil liability suits. The plaintiff will surely collect all of the liability coverage from homeowner's insurance.
Good grief, but you are a bit of a dimwit, aren't you? There is no Anonymous as such, just a bunch of people on the internet with a shared passion for, erm, lulz. And a few of these got together and wanted to expose a few major cesspits in our genetic pool, further aided by the fact that said cesspits are jocks, who are the natural nemeses of basement dwellers and other neckbeards, which is what most Anons are. Besides, what could be lulzier than exposing a few local deities to some richly deserved punishment and humiliation?
Note that I do not care much for most of Anon's undertakings, and find some of them to be downright despicable, much like what I think of Christians and their various sub-organisations and denominations, but in this case, Anon done good, much like Christians occasionally do.
Why isn't this all over the international news like the Indian rape case?
I mean theReg, an IT mag, is the only UK based site reporting this. I'm guessing non-geeks outside the US will never hear about this one...and why aren't Americans protesting in the streets demanding justice like those Indians?
This clearly needs outside intervention. I.e. someone from another area/state in the police force to come in and investigate what has happened and all of those involved.
This is the only way for this to be sorted out properly and those who are guilty of involvement punished and those not guilty delcared so.

It seems the calls for outside investigators and independent prosecutors are things that are being done.
As well as allegedly having a tradition of letting high school football players get away with rape, the USA has a tradition of making a big thing about crimes that happen to pretty white girls.
When I used to watch CNN there would be the 4 stories getting 24/7 coverage: one political story, one industrial accident/fire, one pretty white girl who had gone missing.
It turns out that stories of the police chief's son being at the party, or being one of the rapists, or being on the football team are untrue. Same thing with the initial lead investigator.
It turns out that stories the girl was carried from party to party are the sick thoughts of some commenter somewhere, being repeated endlessly.
I'm sure the press will be carefully going over Stubenville city's claims on that web page looking for any holes. From what I can see most of the information should be easy to check out from school year books.
I cannot help but think that this is one rape of one pretty white girl, one of dozens of rapes that occurred that weekend across the USA.
Why does no one care about the other dozens of girls who were raped that weekend?
"When I used to watch CNN there would be the 4 stories getting 24/7 coverage: one political story, one industrial accident/fire, one pretty white girl who had gone missing."
My point there, the other political stores, the other wars, the other industrial accidents, and the other missing girls (most of whom were not white) got zero coverage from CNN.
It was 24/7 about one story from each category, and when one missing white girl story was resolved, it would be replaced with another. Each category would be filled with one story at a time.
Every junior ice hockey player in small city is thinking being king of the world and there is lot of rumors about dating lists (girls circulated trough whole team). Best of all - these boys are teached to smuggle tobacco products from Sweden as young adults - as using those is in the fad in ice hockey community.
It is hard to fall from the top, so doping usage is quite common also. So no wonder, there is many doping and/or drug smuglers among them in later age as they have learned to the morale in early age. I do not say, that even most of (former) icehockey players is drug/doping smuggler, but if I would be customs officer, I would include history of hockey playing as one possible elevating risk factor for suspected trafficer. Especially if the career had failed late teens or as young adult. The same goes possibly to football players in US.
Yes, of course, rape is a bad thing but money is a good thing. College football players are worth a lot of money to colleges. They can be sold on for a $$$ when they graduate. This money supports the whole college system and especially scholarship programs. It's just a balancing act: rape parties vs education for poor people. You do want poor people to get educated don't you?
Note: the above was sarcasm.
I am sickened like all sane people by what these men did. I call them men because animals work largely on instinct, however sick these men are they are still capable of higher reasoning and therefore it makes their crime worse. I dog kills it may be out of primal fear or instinct, a human does it with the ability not to.
More disturbing is the cover-up. A cover-up requires planning, multiple-parties and many supposedly rational people choosing consciously that the course they wish to take is not the just course but the one that suits them best. Evil on top of evil.
As with everything here in the USA, it's all about money. Jocks are a protected species, know it, and act like it. Can't have any of those college moneymakers languish in jail now, might hurt Screw U's chances at a bowl game next year. And Senator Stasi is a huge fan!
Ditto on the cops not giving a damn. Their political masters want them generating "revenue" on the roads, not wasting money failing to solve crimes. In forty years, not one crime perpetrated against my family or friends has had a culprit brought to justice. Been hassled on the highway plenty of times though.
Hangin's too good for them. BURNING'S too good for them. They ought to tear them into little bitty pieces and bury them AAALIIIVE!
