or the flip, made the change, realised it screwed everything and rebooted to clear, only to realise they had committed it.

Businesses have these sorts of issues all the time

Unfortunately that's all too true for us at the moment.

I'll also pass on to my team, who had issues getting through to UKFast and then spent all night and into the next day restoring service, that it just needed a reboot.
