    A nice idea....

    ...but I can see a shit load of patent lawsuits being chucked around.

    Can't see the likes of Cisco,Nokia. Erricson, Extreme (who are buying Avaya's networking biz, who in turn bought the almighty Nortel portfolio) and Huaweii going down quietly.

      Interesting that Facebook is not running FBOSS on this next generation Packet Optical box.. They are turning to SnapRoute, a startup, to make the software, and to Celestica to crank out the hardware... Who are you going to sue?? All facebook did was design a box that others will get sued over.... No Facebook IP on it.. And they are not even committing to using it in their own network.. not the same as their Wedge switching systems which are in production at Facebook and run FBOSS...
