confused about the above comment , i'd think they'd love people to use weaker password words , it would make their job easier in the long run and as a uk tax payer ,
it would cut their costs and save some money on their cracking software and we could use the savings on the NHS or something else

Well, sort of - but once a password has been established, it's cheaper still for them (and therefore us) to carry on using it.
