    Er,dont we have one?

    Docker's open source, doesnt that make it's container format an open format ?

    Or is somebody confusing the words 'open' and 'interopable' ?

      Some cloud providers apparently 're-compile' the docker image to fit their APIs. So it's not really possible to run up microservices on demand.

      It's a form of lock-in that the signed image format may prevent.
