    fingers and toes crossed

    We are LONG overdue for an update and are looking hard at the new version. Now if we can just crush all the demand for customizing it to death like they did our existing R/3 (4.6c) we'll doubtless be much better off...

    The day that I last walked out of a place running SAP, I could feel those worries just melting away...

    As for their simplification, they have actually promised that before; but were more than a bit short on delivery. Worse, most of the consultants I saw that were supposed to be teaching people about the newer improved product seemed to be mostly people that had not actually used the product.

    But that's about par for the course.
