back to article US Feds investigating Prenda Law, say Pirate Bay co-founders

It looks like there's more trouble approaching for the notorious copyright trolls, formerly of Prenda Law. TorrentFreak says the FBI is taking a more active interest in the operation, saying that Pirate Bay's Peter Sunde and Fredrik Neij were questioned about Prenda's notorious “honeypot” operation while they were in prison. …

Re: Karma

I Second that.

One thing about Prenda Law though, is that they've provided more free (non DRM) entertainment than you're likely to find from any other content generator.

Entrapment?

hmmm, dress up one of our lady cops and wait for some guy to offer her money... or set up a torrent for our own copyrighted material and wait for someone to download it...

I wasn't referring to the sex bit... but to the fact that undercover lady cops would hardly commit the same crime to entrap a guy for solicitation... which was what Prenda's honeypot was for (catch guys pirating stuff while pirating that same stuff themselves). Clear now?

Re: Entrapment?

Actually, sex is not the crime... I believe it's called solicitation. No sex act needs to happen. If a guy gets caught by the police while actually soliciting sex from a woman who will take his cash for services, they both get busted...

It's a crime! ;-}
