Public Interest?

Of course its not in the public interest.

But who will convince the brokers and bankers involved in the deal? And, by extension, the US government , who is in the pockets of Corporate America. ( The land of the not so free , free).

We are doomed, Id say if this goes thru. Prepare for the third world war, with what the right wingers will start spouting out and generate Public opinion in favour of radicalising everyone .
