And here in the UK ....

The government are closely monitoring the Chinese authorities progress to see how they can improve their own crackdown on porn.

    Just curious...

But were these 5000 odd people, the site owners and content providers or just the poor schmucks who felt the need to download some pron for their home entertainment?

I bet the Dali Lama is considered porn by China

This does not suggest that objectification of our daughters through porn is reasonable in any fashion.

    Hmm bit short sighted

With the population levels continuing to increase in China you would have thought they would be promoting pron as an alternative to the the real thing.

I say China should reverse policy such that their needy individuals are so swamped with the stuff they have to beat it off.

      Not quite

They're using the old "suppress sexual expression and channel the pent-up emotions into patriotism" routine a la George Orwell. Mind you, seems we're not too far behind them, except that our governments are trying to funnel the repressed sex into hatred of terrorists and paedophiles rather than the more obvious patriotism...

    Swoop....

As is typical most readers miss the implications. No one is for porn, well almost no one, yet what

everyone is applauding is really censorship and government control of what you do on the web.

Preventing such behavior should start with education at home not forced controls by commies

    pretending to be saviors.
