back to article Peter Mandelson exerts party discipline in cyberspace

The Labour Party has let loose a virtual Peter Mandelson at the same time as the real Mandelson has kicked off the party's new online talking shop. The Daily Mail has warned its readers that the digiMandy will be stalking Second Life, campaigning against the Tories and dripping poison into the ears of virtual hacks writing for …

    I kissed a girl?

“I have blogged before... and I enjoyed it.”

Dunno if Katy Perry would have had as much success with this as a single.

...the one with the watermelon stencil on the back, please.

Mandy, Blair and Brown like to dress up exclusively in peep-hole bra's, green wellington boots and blue wigs whilst they dance around (pilled-up to their eye balls) to the theme music from Fraggle Rock.

Each one then posts their discharge into a post box, which is actually just Cherie painted red, smiling and wearing a strap-on.

    They are fucking sick.

He wasn't paying attention in class

Poor Mr Mandelson wasn't paying attention in class when he was learning "Microsoft Tactics for Profit and Pleasure". His headline at LabourList includes Embrace and Engage (OK so he plagiarised it a bit as well). But he clean forgot all about the third E - Extinguish

    A Title,

"no-one has been more identified with message and campaigning discipline than myself, something that makes me rather proud"

He's proud of the fact that the government persistently lies about everything and he dumbed down mainstream journalism?

I dont want 'the message' continuously sent to me, let me see the facts, i'll decide on how you did. You continuously tell me that labour are the 'Do nothing party' (or whatever the latest soundbite is), i'm not going to believe it because i know that gordon brown has been twisting the figures for the last 10 years so their attempt to be the 'we didn't do it party' is patently lies

Show me what you're trying to do not what everybody else is doing, but what Labour is trying to do to address the downturn

As to Drapers 'LabourHome', totally pointless, astroturfing is so 2000

I reckon Q2, spring summer this year, because people are happier when the sun shines and this year because next year they'd be paying for this years spending spree...

Also because if the pound devaluation from the Bank of Englands "print money to buy crap assets at inflated prices" strategy hits in Q2, inflation would hit in Q3 and Brown might face a leadership challenge he could not survive. So he's unlike to try to hold out till the last minute knowing he'll lose the election, because his party may think they have a fighting chance without him.

So I'm still reckoning on Q2 this year. The introduction of this Draper turf tends to confirm this IMHO.

    @Master Baker re.Party

It is the case that you can do some good dance moves to the theme music from Fraggle Rock. I'm not sure about the rest of your comment though.

    Second life

The forum for Cybersex, and dodgy transactions from people pretending to be who they are not in real life.

Peter Fondlesbum should fit in well then, odious little creep that he is.

    Nu Labor. Dontcha love 'em

I put a comment on there, but strangely it got taken down again. It went something like this:

"Nu Labor, dontcha love'em. You might have thought the Stasi were thorough, but they never got quite as far as what this lot are proposing: monitoring absolutely everyone in the country's communications and rounding all of us up to be fingerprinted. Perhaps Mandy might persuaded to go and live on Corfu permanently along with Osborne and Rupe. They could probably persuade Tony to tag along (rather than become EU president hopefully) and no doubt the Cameroons would fly out for the occasional chitchat. All in all a lovely mix of Stalin and Rockefeller (enough to make the Chinese proud). Talk about history repeating itself as farce. What a shower."

No doubt more people will read it on here anyway.

Oh Mandy, when you came and you gave without taking

Hang on. He took a £373,000 loan from Geoffrey Robinson , while Mandy's department was investigating Robinson's business activities, almost exactly ten years ago (before your first resignation). Can't really say "gave without taking", can I?

Did he learn from it? Hopefully. He seems to have learned enough to fool Gordon Brown, but then so did the City casino operators.

    So, second life now, Mandy?

    Third resignation soon, Mandy?
