Why is the Michael Moore documentary being removed?

You would have thought Michael Moore, if he is really serious about getting his political messages out there, would want his films to be distributed as widely as possible, including as free videos on Google Video and Youtube.

Given that, why doesn't he give them away legally on the internet? They can't cost that much to make, and surely he's got enough cash together (and enough potential sponsors) to fund a non-commercial documentary.

Of course he'll conveniently blame the production company, but if he funds a film himself the production company doesn't need to have any say in how the film distributed.

They had it coming didn't they?

They knew waaaaaaaaaaay before acquiring YouTube that it was "facilitating copyright infringement" (blablabla)

And yet they insisted they buy it, because Google needs new toys, and new means towards world domination.

We trash talk microsoft do we? These blokes are no better.

    Oh that Moore guy

At the risk of wandering offtopic (if such a thing can be done on the internetz),

Of course everybody knows M. Moore is a very rich philantropist who makes documentaries purely as a hobby. You can see this by the zippy armani suits he keeps wearing.

It's really really selfish of him not to then give them away on the net and in offer free cinema seats as well.

    Toodeledookie!
