Am I the only one
All other things aside, am I really the only one who thinks that it's a good thing that at least one politician is using a boost of the space program in his campaign?
Ok, so it was probably just to get space workers to vote for him, but even so...
What did you expect?
No sympathy here...
How was this device marketed? As a kindle or a full blown android tablet like the Xoom?
That's right, a Kindle. If you want the full functionality that comes with a full tablet, then you buy one of those.
I am waiting for my Kindle Fire to arrive, and I'm looking forwards to a device I can use for the things a Kindle is meant for...
I can't help but wonder if this is a first tep towards an Amazon tablet...
3D? Pah...
In my experience, 3D noticeably detracts from the experience, so I actively avoid them. And if a movie is only available in 3D, then I don't watch it in the cinema.
Damn...
I was going to post pretty much the same.
Or the useless staff in Tesco/Sainsbury's/wherever who don't know where anything is...
Then you put your replacement battery in of course...
Indeed, but presumably your phone's app would have some sort of record as well as the shop having a way of checking it against Pay Pal...
On one hand, this is the part I find most interesting as it would remove the queueing bit, but my first thought was basically the same 'How do they know I've paid when I walk out the door?'...
I'll look forwards to hearing more though.
Why not just turn it off? That's what I did so I could see all stories...
Lists in FB were actually quite easy and simple to use. And a lot less cumbersome that setting up circles in G+.
You should try it, it's a great feeling to actually know what you're talking about ;-)
For years in fact.
I was appalled at how many people I knew where amazed that with G+ you suddenly had 'streams' and effectively security groups defining who could see what, and absolutely refused to believe that FB had ha dit for ages as well.
Especially the Mountain View Fanbois refused to believe that it wasn't Google that invented it.
/sigh
/wrists
Unfortunately this only works for some things. It used to work for everything ('friends', groups, pages, etc)...
I suspect that what they are trying to get people to do, is to create lists that users actually want to see...
Soon...
They'll be £299 or less which is where I start being interested...
Pretty...
But what I really want to know is which app took those nice screenshots ;-)
Why not...
...just buy the laptop you apparently want?
In fact, I believe I have seen ads for a laptop you can turn into a windows tablet.
From Dell I think...
Battery life?
You're clearly not regular enough, my local cheerfully let me charge my devices if they run dry.
I would be surprised...
If their parents have much interest in parenting other than getting more benefits due to having more kids...
Another game to avoid...
These days I just walk away from any game that require Steam, Valve or some other 3rd party app that want to manage my games for me; and the only games which can justify a permanent internet connection are MMOs and other on-line play games.
As someone else already said, another game where the pirates get a beter experience than paying customers...
It looks like it's already here...
I could be wrong, but it look like it's already available from amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Galaxy-10-1-Inch-Wi-Fi-White/dp/B0058P1D76/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1311163317&sr=1-3
Or is that a different tablet?
So why not just ise groups/circles then?
Facebook has had security groups available for years. Why not just use those?
To me this appears to be user error...
Sigh...
Why is it that so many people complain about features missing from Facebook when they are actually there?
You can upload groups of pictures and specify that you want the hi-res versions to be uploaded and available.
Please, please please RTFM...
It's only the first time it's a hassle...
It's only time consuming the first time you set it up. Just like all other such things, including G+.
I set up a bunch of lists in Facebook years ago and now when I friend someone new I add them to the appropriate list.
Easy.
Just like HTC then
To be fair, I'm sitting with my HTC wishing that I would get OS updates...
Maybe we should try to figure out which companies *do* send out updates ;-)
I could get used to thelife of a monk
If they kept this up...
I really should start my own cult...
I'm timing this...
To see how long it'll be before the app is removed...
Keep Calm and carry on...
I for one have been enjoying the calm restraint and facts based reporting over this past week while people I know have been waving their arms in the air and shouted about how the sky is falling and we'll all die from radiation...
Fresher than WoW and happily no dungeonfinder in sight...
Personally I'm playing Rift rather than WoW and thoroughly enjoying it.
You need to read the quest text and the interact with NPCs to get a feel for the world and the storyline.
If all you want to do is grind your way through levels, then it doesn't really matter which MMO you're playing.
I would recommend to anyone that they should give Rift a try for a month or two. It's quite different from WoW in the specifics, but the basics are close enough that anyone who has played any MMO can jump right in.
How is this hypocrisy?
Every company with sensible Terms & Usage policies will have a provision for searching through your e-mail if they believe you've been misbehaving.
Indeed...
I know a good few people who either work there or have worked there and they all liked the company and thought it was a good place to work.
Interesting app, shame it failed...
It was an interesting application that very much had a niche audience, IMO; namely teams that are spread out over a geographically large area.
Too niche unfortunately...
I am supremely confident...
that the authorities investigating this will leave no stone unturned and no avenue of investigation untried until these coppers are found not guilty.
Phhht :-(
Here's an idea...
I bet that if the fire brigade dangled a box of Krispy Kreme's in front of some of these people, they'd suddenly be able to move just fine...
Maybe then I'll get an iPhone...
When it comes with Windows Mobile :-D
Heh heh, no license here either...
I'm totally with him on this.
I also don't have a TV license...
Of course, I haven't had a TV for 6 or 7 years, but that's largely irrelevant ^_^
Skull & Crossbones because it's talk like a pirate day. Yarrrr
Phhht...
Personally I fail to care topo much.
Ok, fixed width is pretty amateurish, but I tend to open the articles in the printer friendly option anyway so it hardly bothers me...
Alien because it's gotta be one of them that came up with that idea...
Data Cap?
If I had to pay to receive calls my phone would always go to voicemail. Easy...
And if the author of this article has a cap on his internet connection, then he needs a new provider...
Jabra
I've been using the Jabra device for about 6 months and it's great.
Easy to use and it doesn't look silly...
Huh?
And here I thought Catholics were people who are addicted to cats...
Ba-dum tish...
About time...
About time too...
I'm one of the, many?, people who had decided to wait until the war was over before buying a new player...
So, now to find a decent Blu-Ray player...
@ Chris C
Actually, here in the UK, being able to read pretty much does show a brain that works.
The levels of reading and writing really are that bad...
@ Ben W
I totally agree that it's the way forwards.
Personally I would go further than that, but I'm sadly surrounded by the bleeding-heart liberals who would rather uphold the rights of criminals than the rights of law abiding citizens to not be victims of crime.
Stay Patched...
So, these people were hit by malware because they didn't apply a patch that came out in February?
I would be tempted to say that it's their own fault then. It's really not that hard to stay patched...
