Arguing with trolls is wasted effort. And it only took me 20 years of the internet, and ten of BBSes (and an extra four or WoW somewhere in between) before that to figure it out. I guess I'm a slow learner.

Its lost on me. If I didn't have an iPad Mini I'd get another Nexus 7 for just a little bit more. Really, if they were going to make an iPad mini competitor why make it LESS good then the already nice Nexus 7?

Five Macs, paid for one. Three were gifts one is my fiancee's work machine, Mine I paid cash.
Dollar per dollar it was quite reasonable.

I've never seen anything stay at an apple store more than 72 hours. Usually just overnight.

The REALLY fashionable types just want to compare who has the BIGGEST phone. Android has that market hands down. If you want a phone the size of a paperback book, you go Android. I get the android fashionistas all the time telling me Android is in! Its whats cool! Everybody who is anybody has Android! And who has the trendiest model. These days Android is all about fashion and another way for boys to show who has the "biggest".
But seriously, I never cared about Fashion, I never watch advertizing, not in many years. I go out of my way to AVOID being fashionable. When I bought my first iPhone, there really was nothing else like it, I keep getting them because my partner and I have five Macs and I like the integration. It's worked well for me, never failed me, and the customer service has been top notch.
If Android meets my needs "Removable battery, expansion slot, and decent warranty support" at some point in a phone NOT made by Samsung, maybe I'll even switch to one. But I really don't want my phone to be a huge pocket tablet. These days ANDROID is for the trendy people to impress each other with.

EVERY corporation in the US gives to presidential campaigns. And for a major Corporate donation, $300.000 is pocket change. Sounds like they underspent. Repub corps give MILLIONS.

Say what you will about Firefox, but its security and privacy plug ins and its many, many ad blocking options are second to none.
No other company has any incentive to keep my connection from looking like cable TV.
I liked it, but I jumped ship on it when the development just didn't keep up. Like Shiira, I wanted to believe, but I want max security and max ad-blocking. And there is only one place I can get that.

Seriously, I'm glad you guys are getting your desktop back. I can't imagine having to use the interface formerly known as Metro. It would be like starting my Mac and having Launchpad as my default. I'm happy they finally LISTENED for once.

Depends on the state, The president lauded Minnesota's gun laws. Sober responsible honest people can have (and carry) guns here, drunks, fools and criminals need not apply. And yes your background is checked VERY thoroughly and you WILL be trained in safety and the law.
Drunk drive? No gun for you. Ever involuntarily committed, no gun for you. Get charged for beating your wife or kids, no gun for you. Gun ownership is an ADULT responsibility. If you cannot behave as an adult, you don't get adult privileges.
If it was like that in the red state pest holes everyone could be happy.
And background checks? I had to go through two of them. State and FBI. There are PLENTY of background checks.
All this is is the "guns for rich people only" law. this will never pass, and it shouldn't.

I have a small pile of iDevices. Never seen or heard of such a thing.
IF I ever trade my iPhone in, and thats a long shot IF. it would be for a customized Android, not for THIS! I'd even use WINDOWS phone first. Yes I hate this that much based on one screenshot.
Think what this has to be like with a 40-50 apps......
When a 3D printer can make a reliable rifled barrel, get back to me. This is nothing new, just a zip gun, and a very poor one.
If Microsoft spent half as much time improving their product as they spent on media spin campaigns and slamming their competitors product this sort of thing wouldn't be necessary at all.

They are NOT restricting what you run on your Mac at all. Not one little bit. That is a myth.
Change your security setting and run anything you like. Mine is set to right click the first time and run for untrusted software. I like that feature, I can run what I need to run, and foolish people stay safe.
And besides, us coffee house use our iPads. I don't want anyone spilling a Latte in MY Macbook Pro..

@Geeg J Preece Gert over yourself, a lot of people triple boot their Macs.
And a lot of us do REAL WORK on them too. OSX and Lnux are easy and fast to set up. You want to cut down the massive set up times. Ditch Windows.
And what does that have to do with how easy its is to sell a used Mac? You nevre addressed All you did was tell us how you do real work and how special a snowflake you are.

My hardware fail rate has been about zero. I've used 15 year old ones that have worked flawlessly. 8 years one bad power switch. It wasn't even broken, it just recessed a bit into the case.
