Cheap soap schlock
Dreary, sh^H^Hgritty, and above all cheap religious and social metaphor. An absolute disgrace to it's fun and cheesy namesake. Thank fsck it's over, the only pity now is the original will be tainted by this pile of garbage for future generations.
£200 for an electro box?
Or you could buy a medical TENS machine for £30 and some electrode from medical suppliers for <£10 and get essentially the same kit.
re: Whiskey tango foxtror, over.
No politician banned something because they couldn't help *themselves*. It's always for the benefit of *others*.
@Rob
I dunno, my Mistress seems to be pure Domme.
re: Annonymous Coward 10:58
The question is, though, would their Master allow them to play with you?
Not really that surprising
*Some* Nvidia video chips *might* be flaky, but *all* Intel video chips *are* rubbish.
Heated steering wheel?
I had heated grips on my bike, yet my feet still felt the freezing cold of winter.
Oh well
At least it can't be worse than Mostly Harmless. Such a horrible thing to do just to stop the fans asking for more.
Ease of porting?!
I would imagine those old icons are there not to ease porting between NeXTSTEP and Cocoa, but because Cocoa *is* NeXTSTEP. The Windows controls are probably in there from their brief foray into being a cross platform toolkit.
Bloomin' cyclists
Given http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/beds/bucks/herts/7496757.stm , I think cyclists should get their own house in order before they start moaning about deaths by dangerous drivers.
Labour? Socialist?!
NuLab - Putting the National into Socialist since 1994!
Hmmm...
These are the same people who turned down the offer of free Mac OS X for the machines on the grounds it wasn't open source, yeah?
re: Please explain.
Mistress wears what she damn well pleases, slave!
A picture of Gordon Brown?
I don't remember consenting to his dominance over me - does that make a picture of him obscene?
Re: Mike
I seem to remember that Terminator was loosely based on the Philip K. Dick shot story "second variety". This was about "Autonomous Mobile Swords" that turned against their human operators. A bit of fortuitous naming there, methinks.
Re: Ru
I think you mean "Dimensionally transmogrified".
P2P?
Sounds like a perfect legal use for BitTorrent, etc. to me!
New name for the Ministry Of Alterations
They... change people. To clarify the website feedback comment boxes.
Er, *public*
Girlies might be schlicking one off the wrist with an inanimate object, but most of them have enough common sense to do it in the privacy of their boudoir. *That* is why they've not been nicked for it.
Whu?
Why on earth should the parents have more rights than the child? They went into the deal taking full responsibility for the consequences of their actions, and the obvious sacrifices this would include. The child, on the other hand, didn't even get to give it's consent. Seems to me that the child should obviously get the most rights.
Why use a prosthetic belly?
With enough patience and enough lube, they won't need a prosthesis...
re: cal or kcal
Food calories are always kilocalories, on account of a calorie being an utterly useless unit in the situation.
More likely
It's more likely that the doco was lazy, and modified the manual from another model.
Standardised secure smart card apps already exist
The system's called "MONDEX" - it's capable of a lot more than simply being a cash card.
One more thing about the battery
By being a static part, it doesn't require it's own casing, instead being able to rely on the main phone case for protection. This is what allows Apple to fit as much batery capacity as they do into a small space. A replacable battery would either make the iPhone run out of beans faster, or larger, neither of which are desirable attributes for the core demographic buying them.
Tattoo
So time to get "c*nt" tattooed across ones chest?
Acting performance?
Never mind the performance - the character alone was so unlikeable my eyes tried to escape out the back of my head.
Firewire vs. USB 2.0
People seem to be missing the point that a top rated Firwire port can transfer 800Mbps vs. USB 2.0's paltry 480Mbps, never mind the fact a Firewire transfer requires less supervision from the CPU.
Most common spiking drug
Other research has shown the most commonly used drug for spiking drinks is alcohol, so this research is hardly conclusive...
