You clearly have no clue what you are talking about.

WindowsNT is VMS. The VMS OS created to run on Dec Alpha CPUs. It was even better than most UNIXes.

And to fix the mess they did with Windows Vista Microsoft had to pay a lot of money to VMS designers to build Windows7. And Windows7 and WinowsServer2008 were excellent, the best WindowNT systems to date.

Then the Metro/ModernUI nonsense era arrived at Microsoft and Windows8.x happened and then even worse under the Indian CEO the atrocious spyware ridden Windows10=8.2 was born which proved that Ballmer wasn't the worst that could have happened to Microsoft.

Linux is not even a true real UNIX. It is just an hack, a shallow messed up copy of UNIX subsystems.

BSD systems are true real UNIX systems. Which includes Apple OS X

A big year of shame for Windows...

Windows10 is the worst WindowsNT ever released.

Microsoft under the new CEO turned Windows into a crap spyware, a virus. An unusable mess of an OS.

It isn't a professional OS anymore. It isn't a gaming OS anymore.

It just plain sucks.

Metro/ModernUI with Windows8.x and WindowsServer2012 demolished all the good work that was done with the excellent Windows7 and WindowsServer2008.

The Fast Seek on LTO is due the the format used by the backup software. LFTS has its own indexing and fast seek logic as well. Old tape backp softwares didn't have fast seek and you couldn't quickly retrieve a file.

Tapes will become too expensive.

And unless they are going to use 3D XPoint technology the standard NAND flash SSD drives are just too unreliable and too easy to damage.

If they could add 8GB or 16GB 3D XPoint SSD cache for $2 to $5 at most then it might be useful. Otherwise it would be useless.

And anyway such a system would need triple-checking of all data on the SSD cache to avoid that the metadata got corrupted and data on tape then unaccessible. The system must be able to quickly check and discard any corrupted metadata on the SSD by retrieving the original copy on the tape itself.

VB.NET , VB legacy, C# is just bad programming. How to deliver low quality products. That is what is wrong with that.

C/C++, C99, Objective-C, Swift, Assembly, in-line Assembly and then SQL queries written by hand with no frameworks is what a real programmer should be able to use. And for 3D gaming and simulations of any kind being able to understand and code OpenGL, DirectX, CUDA.

Nowadays professional 3D engines like Unreal Engine are available with visual Blueprints and script languages but anyone knowing how to properly code in C++ and in-line Assembly and the graphics APIs thanks to full access to its source code could do anything and achieve maximum performance extending what the engine programmers did whenever its needed for any project.

That is what is wrong with being a limited programmer that can't understand how to do the hard stuff.
