well, the iPhone camera telescope add-on (couple of weeks back) definitely ain't gonna sell....
...but this, hmm, actually looks quite good... almost very good!
Bet Apple wish they'd though of it!

I spent hours typing in those programmes from Electron User magazine, and they never worked!
My Electron never set me up for a life in IT as I never got further than:
10 Print "hello";
20 Goto line 10
hello
hello
hello
hello
oh oh Mode 2... the best Mode, think it had 8 colours! Fantastic!
I am also waiting for this phone. I thought September was too late, then I hear it's gonna be November and now 2009, jeez!
Can't wait that long for my tech fix, might have to go back to plan B or C (the Omnia and the iPhone respectively).
If Sony make us wait soooo long then they deserve to lose, even Nokia seem to have finally got their finger out and will be releasing the Tube before Xmas.
Earlier today I wrote a very informative KNOL - it's intention was to clarify for uncertain people whether or not God actually exists (here's a clue: he doesn't).
Seemingly this non-inflammatory factual KNOL failed to make it past the big G, as, although it's "puplished" I don't find it when I search?
Fire, because I'm gonna burn in, oh no, wait a minute...
...just couldn't find one anywhere in Doom3! I rapidly got fed up of wandering around lost in the dark so gave up!
(and played BF2 instead)
@Ash, me too for DNF, c'mon!

... not what you want to see after getting home an excitedly plugging in your new toy!!!
[this was at start of Feb 08]
Still, took it back to PC World where it obligingly did it again… and I got a replacement. But, this makes me wonder about those people who have to play Halo3 for 45 min before getting the RROD. What do PC World do then? Do they make you play for 45 min in shop until destruction, or do they just believe you???
So far so GROJ on 360 II. [Green Ring Of Joy; first use - no hits on Google!] Still, not really pushed it heat wise yet as I am still playing the Boogie Bunnies two level demo!
Apple are making life very difficult (for me, not themselves).
My Voda (UK) contract will shortly run out and I would LOVE an iPhone. Trouble is although the iPhone is very desirable it is a bit feature short, so what I really want is the iPhone 2 (thinner, with GPS, 7 MP camera, VGA screen). So instead I am found contemplating spending £250 for the 16Gb Touch..... but I know as soon as I buy one Jobs will release the iPhone 2...., so I can't bring myself to buy my Touch...
trouble is, I won't be able to bring myself to buy the iPhone 2 either, as it will undoubtedly be £400 on £35/month (x18) on non 3G (duh?) O2, I mean, c'mon Apple! Throw me an iBone.
So I will end up with nothing!
By choosing only 1 operator per country Apple prevent a price war and are able to keep the price inflated..... selling fewer more expensive units as opposed to lots of cheaper units. Thus making it more desirable, thus making me want one even more..... grr!
Sorry, but you're wrong! The reason you can't see the dust is just that it's out of focus. The proof: stand behind a chain-link fence and take a picture of a distant object with a camera... can you see the fence in your picture? Answer, no (the camera has no brain and therefore it's dissappreance has nothing to do, in this instance, with visual filtering).
I think I am right in saying that it will be utterly impossible to read anything produced on the contact lens display, this is EASY to prove. Just see how close you can bring a text-book to your face before you can't read anything. I'd wager that, unless you are shortsighted, this will be about a hands-width away. Now imagine trying to focus on text at the front of your eye-ball displayed on the surface of the cyber-lens. Sorry, no way!!
[I'm sad because I am right]
I think such cyber-lenses are clearly going to be possible in the very near future, and from a sci-fi point of view this is really cool!
But, what I want to know relates to focusing of the lense generated image? For example, my glasses are covered in dust, but I am mostly unawre of this as I am focusing on images further away than the lenses in my glasses. To actually see the dust requires focusing at VERY close range, and unless you are shortsighted then this, for most people, is impossible! So any generated image might be completely usless, or appear as a vague glow and not like a plane's HUD - as you might hope for!
Please tell me I'm wrong, as I'd love a working pair of cyber-lenses!
I've so far been disinterested in both the 360 and the PS3 due to their astronomical (for a games machine) price and the lack of ANY interesting titles. However, the price is now slowly falling and Halo3 is on the event horizon. Having owned a PS1 and PS2 I'm now ready for a change, and am particularly drawn to the 360s online capabilities. I was also excited at the possibility of an upgraded 360, closer in spec to the PS3... with an in-built HD drive and wifi... it is therefore REALLY disappointing to read that the 'upgrade' merely consist of painting the thing black! Maybe I'll wait for GranTourismo HD on the PS3?
