I disagree. While the visual nature of sports can be compelling, good commentary can be gripping stuff. And of course being non-visual it doesn't mean you're glued to the TV/phone/monitor and can be up and around doing other things enjoying the commentary in the background.
Not sure what speed package you're on but my upload is 10Mbit. Love it!
Depends on the person & situation etc but I don't mind paying a bit more each month to get the better upload speed - the increased download speed is just a handy side effect.
I just don't get what investors realistically expect from Apple (or any company in similar circumstances), they beat their earning target for the quarter, they pocketed $7 BILLION IN PROFIT IN 3 MONTHS yet people get pissed and their stock falls by 7%.
FML There's something seriously wrong with humanity/humans if $900 profit each and every second that passes isn't enough to satisfy.
I also ordered one thinking for the price I'd be able to live with the purported poor battery life. Thankfully though, the order backlog gave me a chance to consider further the slowly increasing poor reviews of the battery life of the phone. I cancelled and bought a Note 2. Even though it's cost me more money, it's saved me a shedload of hassle with poor battery life which was the achilles with my creaking DHD
That would mean Apple incorporating wireless charging which they're unlikely to do any time soon, and if they do they will develop their own proprietary standard or engineer their products to only work with official Apple licensed induced energy, non-licensed energy will not be allowed.........
And I need a laser why?
While I am also slightly skeptical of NFC (or its close-range variants), I think there will be large demand for it once we sort out the applications. We're still at that stage where we know it's exciting but haven't quite figured out the best way to use it yet. Maybe switching the central heating on and off as we arrive/leave the house. Light switches becoming redundant as we pass from room to room, maybe reminding us that that parma ham in the fridge is nearing its sell by date. I don't know but I'm sure someone will crack it.
Maybe I just love technology and the possibilities it allows us to dream up
What he said.
I clung on for a few months like a smitten teenager hoping Motorola would lavish ICS upon me but in the end I saw the reality of it. 7 months since the US Wi-Fi only Xoom got ICS and yet we still wait for it here in the UK? F-off Motorola.
GEDify your Xoom. It's definitely worth it and once, or maybe if, Moto UK get round to rolling out ICS in the UK then you can flash back to UK ICS if you fancy. Hell, they might even jump ICS and roll out Jellybean instead, but that might be the caffeine talking. The difference in performance of the same hardware running 4.0/4.1 compared to 3.2 is frankly unacceptable in the fact that I fail to take in how much positive difference the OS upgrade makes to the same physical piece of kit.
I got sick of waiting for Motorola UK to pull its finger out so I flashed to the US Xoom GED ROM. Totally different device, fast, smooth, reinvigorated it. I am astounded by it. Jellybean will be here soon so I'll probably continue to use the US ROMs until the UK ones are available and swap back when they are. Trust me, go for it, you'll not look back at all.
