The problem

Is that it's more fun to use your time to actually play games, rather than passively watch someone else playing games. Sites like Prizefight have got a better idea, in that you're effectively betting on your own gaming ability.

Vicarious enjoyment doesn't really apply to video games. If they want to make money out of it, they first need to understand why we play the games in the first place, and to me it looks like the CGS didn't have that figured out.

I have always disliked Brand + Ross, really I couldn't give a sh*t about their careers. If the whole thing truly was manipulated by Clifford as some tin-foil hat wearers here seem to think, then I commend the man.

lol. Couldn't agree more. I don't know why they bother including speakers anyway these days, they always sound shit, if you're gonna spent £1000+ on a TV surely you're better off coughing up another couple of hundred for a half decent surround setup.

I received a phone call from a nice indian lady this morning asking me why I was complaining that I did not want adverts in my BT email account.

I explained to her very carefully all about Phorm/Webwise, and she had never heard of it. She called the "Broadband Department" and they claimed never to have heard of it either.

Eventually she gave me an address to write to, which I am going to do;

Have emailed BT

I emailed BT yesterday expressing my concerns about Phorm and received a form Phorm letter back teling me that they wouldn't be scanning my passwords or emails.

Naturally I was enraged; they better not be scanning my f*cking email because that would be a blatant contravention of the DPA.

If I don't see a published retraction of the Webwise/Phorm relationship within the next week I will be leaving BT. I encourage others to write as well, voting with our feet will make them change their minds.

Not my demographic

I play a lot of violent, shooting-type games and I don't need convincing that gaming is a worthwhile expenditure.. so I bought a PS3.
