"specifically the period of low sunspot activity between approximately 1645 and 1715"
Must have been a blinder to have come up with a name for half an hour.
Re: missing the point
To browse porn, without it ever hitting your history or IP address and get round corporate and school firewalls ?
We are focused on preserving jobs in Arizona
Guess that just means they're moving Steve's corpse?
Also when they turn the lights off at the Mesa plant, will that make it Black Mesa ?
Re: It's all about the screen size
Close, but no cigar:
"Take wallet out of pocket and touch it on reader."
My wallet contains 3 credit cards, and a debit card, all of which have PaybyBonk - which one does it choose?
"The only difference is it means Apple know exactly what you have been buying "
"6:51 p.m. : Apple doesn’t know what you bought, where you bought it, or how much you paid for it."
Well, he decided to go out on the same day as my Gran, so perhaps she can give him slap while they're stood in line waiting for St Peter, for committing suicide.
Re: "Dead people are rising but Authorities say there is no cause for alarm."
Love my 10Gig Huawei switches
Decent kit, love 'em.
Re: Every other edition...
Or the lesser spotted Win+X menu.
It's the first thing I miss when handling previous edition PCs.
Re: Eyebrows that float
Cor Chief !
But does it translate the biggest one?
From SOCCER to FOOTBALL ?
Re: well very few products are competely new designs?
Trust me, you wouldn't want to see me in Speedo's medium or smaller...
Light to Matter..
Does it turn chocolate bars and children into smaller versions of themselves too ?
Re: Anti-phishing could be done in other ways
Well, I've had to go and look, been using Canary for months, and yes, you're right it's black, and the rest of the URL is grey, but if you hadn't told me it was the case I'd never have noticed, so obvious fail on the UI there...
Re: Local DLNA?
Looking at the photo here: http://goo.gl/Yn9Inq
It does indeed have an ethernet port.
Hate the shape of the remote though, what's wrong with flat backed remotes?
Windows 8 only?
I think we'll be lucky if it's not Windows 9 exclusive for the first 12 months or so.
Make the saving by..
Taking the 1p and 2p out of circulation, get's rid of the offensive 99p rubbish, and gets rid of coins nobody (imo) wants anyway, other than something to throw in the 4.5L Bells Whisky bottles.
Something twits (or is that twats?) do.
Re: A nice cuppa
Would that be of Tea or No Tea ?
Was good seeing things we take for granted in today's machines being touted as new and wonderful, hurt not seeing Woz's name in the Macintosh roll-call part of the video though.
What is wrong with the abacus ?
What is wrong with walking ?
What is wrong with bows and arrows ?
What is wrong with 640K ?
I've had various TomTom devices, currently on the not so wonderful GO Live 1000, but I wouldn't be without it, like my automatic transmission in the car, it takes the effort out of a mundane task, something not difficult, but something we don't need to think about, and can just get on with it.
Re: That's not going to happen
The planet is only that far out due to a miscue in a game of Planet Pool, during a "White Hole" incident.
'grow the fuck up'...
Pot... meet kettle..
380Z came much later
Commodore Pet for the win !
Re: Battery life
Battery life on my iPad Air is pretty damned good actually, wish I could say the same for my iPhone 5 though.
Well, he definitely made an impact in his particular field.
Re: I suppose...
Well, I upgraded both mine and my FD's iPad 2 to 64gb Air's mine with cellular, his without, but it was purely down to being because he wanted one, and asked me to get it for him, whereupon he then said "Oh and I suppose you'll want one too ?" - well, it would have been rude not to. :)
Multiple underground vaults
In other words, their mothers' basement?
I wonder if HTC will replace it for him?
Came for the dickhead comment
... wasn't disappointed. \o/
Just wondering why you need to refer to them as the "Apple-assembling firm", when
A) they were making Sony PS/4's and
B) they manufacture for at least::
Apple Inc.,ASRock, Asus, Barnes & Noble, Cisco, Dell, EVGA Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, IBM, Lenovo, Logitech, Microsoft, MSI, Motorola, Netgear, Nintendo, Nokia, Panasonic ,Philips ,Samsung ,Sharp, Sony, Toshiba, Vizio as far as I can see..
Is Apple bashing THAT big a money-click earner ?
Re: Equally tiresome...
All right, but apart from that, what have
the Romans Apple ever done for us ?
Hmm, what a coincidence, just finished posting in the Huawei thread stating I'd just put their kit in, and it's Extreme network gear it's replaced, never see ANYTHING about Extreme, and this pops up today.. Spooky..
/dons tin foil hat.
/breathes sigh of relief.
Just put half a dozen S5710 10GB switches in the office here this week, nice pieces of kit to be honest.
Still have two accounts with BE
The only reason I've not changed is where the two accounts are, neither have access to fibre yet, so there's little point moving away, but it'll be a cold day in hell when I switch to Sky's telecom service, and as soon as fibre is available... Sayonara Rupe.
Re: XBox CONSOLE FROM HELL
Obviously the answer is for the "trollololols", but I'll ask anyway...
Given your obvious disdain for anything Microsoft, why do you read any of their propaganda and feel the need to denigrate it, when I think everyone is aware of what you're going to think of it anyway ?
Re: Bunch of nancies
Wow, I've just been back and read your previous posts, you REALLY are a Microsoft shill aren't you...
Either that, or you're as blinkered as Eadon is.
Re: More speculation
Let me guess, your surname is Rosoft...
I use Windows 8 with Start8, both in the office and at home, and genuinely like it, BECAUSE it's how I want it, not how some marketing droid who wants us to keep our noses in the Windows App Store trough wants me to use my computer.
It's hardly FUD when it is being shown by someone WITH the product, especially given the amount of negative feedback the original Windows 8 beta users gave TIFKAM, yet to see it still rammed down their throat come release time.
Re: Google on IE10
I have a shortcut saved for when it decides Google UK doesn't want to show up in the gallery.
C-TIP & CERTS
I'm not sure, but I think it needs more acronyms.
Re: Anyone else reminded of
Everyone needs a bosom for a pillow ?
Re: Want to "save the chilllllldddddrrren"?
" than were killed or injured by guns fired by pre-teens in the last year "
What has pre-teens got to do with it, other than allowing a lower number than the tornado killed ?
Re: I wonder if the bacteria in them holes ever thinks.....
I thought it was "ugly bags of mostly water".
Re: Bucked the trend
Yes, it's actually quite addictive, it's had about 4 hours off me tonight, so yeah, it's enjoyable, nice seeing the little history lessons going on with the hardware releases, as time goes by.
£6.83 well spent.
Bucked the trend
.. and bought a copy, because well, everyone needs a little extra beer money from time to time, and I thought the piracy hack-job was funny.
AdBlock for DVD and BluRay.
Good news day.
Anything that makes going into space a positive thing is imo a "good thing", that coupled with a 5 second sound-bite on the radio news as I woke up of a girl born with HIV seemingly cured with standard medication, makes this a "good news day".
Let's hope it stays that way.
Re: Linux is a strong solution
So would that make it a Booty Call ?
Upvote for Marvin
Glad to see I wasn't wrong in my guess, when I went to look.. \o/
