That is all.
But I'd go for drinks with KD...
Plus a vote for torches & pitchforks icon too!
A Madame Guillotine icon for Bastille day :oD
Or maybe too much spare cash lying around so spend some via the legal dept before year end.
It's a bizarre fight to pick over essentially nothing.
What? The IPCC's crystal ball of doom might actually not be right?
Golly. Yet they tout themselves as the ultimate gospel of apocalypse (unless you give generously, dear lobbing targets)
Just set it at 5p per message or something tiny then troll the Justin Bieber, animal rights and Warmist pages.
A million pennies is much better than a tenner :o)
I can save that clown 10 Million.
Or they should provide free copies to students expected to present work using their damned software.
Libre Office isn't accepted at our boys' school for some stuff.
Even worse, though, they're being taught their AS/A2 ICT-computing or whatever it's called this week.. with VISUAL BASIC ...
By Microsoft for not buying from Microsoft?
Of what happens when a bird flies through the beam?
Independance-Day-on-Sea. Largely drivel. Save yourself 100mins of your life.
mind you. If it were made by apple...
It probably takes as long to twat about finding the 'recipe' (think just add a coupla cardomom and a pinch of turmeric for pilau rice, too hard to remember?) and setting the damned thing up as it does to boil a kettle and chuck the water and extras into a pot with a fistful of basmati.
Mind you, we did have the Segway stomach emptier for the terminally lardy the other day I spose... Can't help thinking tech is making 20% of the human race smarter and 80% dumber. Still, gives 20% of us a market for the weird shit we invent I guess.
Even if it's bombed into you via several tons of democracy TNT ?
Every machine contributing to the DDOS actively chose to via its owner clicking 'Join in the DDOS' which is what LOIC does IIRC...
A zombie botnet used for DDOS does not have the explicit consent of its owner to contribute to the attack, therefore it's akin to someone stealing their voting slip and voting on their behalf in a way they would not choose to.
Therefore not free speech, a rigged vote. Which is illegal.
They are, however, expected to actually PAY for them.
And there's plenty of porky salad-dodgers that would seriously consider this instead of walking a mile a day and pie-avoidance (with attendant small money savings).
Let them be fleeced, it's a lazy bastard tax.
Following on from the success of the first Hobbit movie, MGM announce that it will now be extended to span five films.
For a 'crime' that was _prevented_
So no loss actually occurred yet he has to pay restitution for no damages on top of the farcical sentence for not actually harming anyone for conspiracy to do something which causes next to no harm (unless you believe the MAFIAA). He likely even paid for the cinema ticket, too.
Seriously. BUY SECOND HAND.
How to solve USPTO underfunding...
Drop software patents.
I don't think they're trying to 'outdo' google or apple. What Canonical seem to be doing, quite cleverly, is recognising there's an existing Linux kernel available on the world's most prevalent Mobile OS and then leveraging that to make Ubuntu accessible to even more people and in a way that for some of them will make great sense.
Stuff carrying a phone, laptop and a bloody tablet. Just carry the phone in your pocket and grab an HDMI dock for presentations.
That's why I have 3TB of drives RAIDed together on the home server. No way would I trust all my shit to some cloudy storage outfit. I have the final say-so over the existence (or not) of my data and at least if I jigger it up my excuse to the wife of where her 1000's of photos have gone is 'I screwed up' instead of 'dunno, perhaps there's someone I can call somewhere'
Is that for people with a fetish for stick-women? #EatingDisorderporn
Claims Canadian is a Syrian double agent
Says possibly correct person is wrong to save face after missing relatively obvious potential decipher strategy
The effect of continually being at war, telling your electorate they're perpetually under attack by mysterious unseen forces, glorifying conflict with Yeehaw-look-how-clever-we-are nosecam videos of bombs flying through 'enemies' pantry windows and woohoo-look-at-the-shockwave-from-that-2000-pounder and the endless bigging up of futuristic military weaponry on the design cards?
Just a thought, y'know, putting an idea out there...
The spider knows what it looks like. It's fair to assume it knows what other spiders and creatures look like but the fact it would seem to be aware of its 'self' and its appearance is a step further.
Of course it might think spiders are scary and, not being aware that it is a spider itself, uses a fake spider as a scarecrow ;o)
Absolutely.. Any photos I post that I have great hi-res copies of are posted 800px wide and 70% jpeg quality.
Yeah you might get a crappy postcard out of it but I have the one that prints beautifully at 3' x 2' and you're not getting it! :oD
Mostly I post crap from my phone though. (Literally for instagram last night with the kitty litter tray...). The grown-up (no, not like that you pervs) SLR photos are archived on the raid drives at home
Because Appleists could post pictures of super-expensive branded lattes to demonstrate how much cash they had to toss around?
WTF use is a square picture anyway when most photos-that-have-been-composed-properly are framed in 4:3 or similar. Never mind one made to look like it fell out of the 70's. Perhaps they're supposed to look like your nan's polaroids (ooerrr).
You've already abused the trust of your users.
They, like Anonymous, do not forget. Though in your case _don't_ expect them.
People still actually watch those?
Backup your instagram images, delete them and then upload pictures of crap. Lilterally.
From fields, the pavement, your cat's litter tray...
No Shit? I think not, dear Watson!
as opposed to the police wanting data on everyone 'in case', of course ;o)
I can't help wondering sometimes, if the proliferation of public WiFi is somehow sponsored by a gov dept who knows the geolocation of each hotspot and 'gathers information'
What's the betting the horn plays the same tune as the Dukes of Hazzard
To protect the Apple Hive from his/her shameful values
That is all ;o)
They'll be getting a bucket load of data from Apple users over Xmas travelling around visiting and checking routes & weather, etc.
Which is probably worth more than holding off till after Xmas, for Android switchers, to release the app, presumably.
'Not as well as expected' was what I read with 'analysts citing a shite mapping app as one reason punters were holding off upgrading'
and so forth. I guess those analysts were fake or liars, though, like those climate scientists with inconvenient data, etc, etc,
iphone user at work today, looking for her next phone... gave her my S3 to play with.
Her new S3 is being delivered on Monday.
For quite possibly rescuing their Xmas sales.
I'd have waited till the day after the January sales to maximise new Android sales/users.
Yeah but if UK cut corp tax by a factor of four I reckon they'd get more than 4x the businesses coming along to make use of it ;o)
It doesn't have to be an _increase_
If it's legal then change the law.
You may as well whine because people stick to the speed limit or don't kill people or cheekily refrain from robbing banks and call that immoral.
If it's law then it's law and if it's followed and people think it's wrong then it's the law that's wrong, not the people doggedly adhering to it. I wish people would whine to this extent about something useful like assisted suicide laws or something.
MP's calling corps immoral. that's pretty fkn rich, too.
If you got this far then thank you for reading ;o)
Esp with the new Samba 4 fully supporting Active Directory.
e.g. pick the UK due to its current outbreak of common sense among the judiciary and then get the patent invalidated.
Though I spose the troll picks the jurisdiction by virtue of where they file it so Netherlands/Germany, probably.
Apple users in Oz are obviously navigating it the wrong way.
Just go somewhere else instead. Not that big of a deal.
Who like to pay their XBOX Gold membership fee to access the Netflix/Lovefilm subscription they already paid for?
Don't tell 'em it's free on the PS3...
No one trusts farcebook any more anyway and are already going elsewhere so MEH
OK, possibly a little wistful.
I sense an even more revolting evolution in the whole patent thing is happening
