Fair statement and I love a bit of drama in a comment but " give me the Ballmer sweats" may be taking it too far. That Ballmer fella was an absolute disaster.

Open sourcing the app is a good idea but it may be costly for Google as it is tightly integrated with Picasaweb.

Totally agree that ribbon is an abomination. I have been using 2007 for 3 years and I still hate it. In comparison, 2003 was a work of art...it felt like it was made with care and precision. 2007 and ribbon is just a horrible exercise in veneer engineering.
