I am never sure if crap drivers buy Volvos or Volvos cause crap driving.

Also, on a totally unrelated note - why do Volvo drivers need hats and gloves - don't the heaters work in them?

A BBC-by-subscription 'would be richer', MPs told

Longrod_von_Hugendong
Bronze badge
Devil

Easy solution...

1) Not a license payer - then Adverts or you pay to access the site.

2) License payer - then you get the site with no adverts.

and before people say the BBC don't do adverts, well they do on the BBC world news channel... no one seems to mind there.

This works on the presumptions that if people don't pay then at least there is some advertising revenue, and as i license payer, i think i pay enough as is. I think this is fair and reasonable without being a tard and blocking people via a paywall.

Do they mean the game - because it looks an awful lot like Tetris to me or the pay to advance levels - which i am sure existed well before they did.

So basically they have built their business of other peoples ideas. A lot like Samsu^H^H^H^H^H^H several other companies i could mention.

Yes, like indicate, park within the lines on a carpark and not drive so close they are in my boot. Mind you, these seem to be a major problem with BMW and Audi's so they should look to sell to that market first.

Analogue radio will CONTINUE in Blighty as Minister of Fun dodges D-Day death sentence

Longrod_von_Hugendong

Yes, make Radio 1 DAB

Cos at the moment you cannot tell if its just static white noise or music anyway. Radio 2 you can leave alone please, cos i sometimes do listen to that in my car.

Don't think DAB will ever replace FM. Radios are in far more places than TV can be - like as above, i only ever listen to radio in my car. I am certainly not going to upgrade the head unit in my car just for that. FM is fine for the job. Maybe when i buy a new car it will have DAB, but it won't be at the top of my feature list.

Well...

For MacBook Air prices - you buy a mac book air. The HP for £299 is a hard act to follow though, as long as you can replace Windows with something useful, that could be a winner, although its lack of specs could be an issue to some.

Also, massive kudos for looking individual and not looking like an Air copy.

Why Microsoft absolutely DOESN'T need its own Steve Jobs

Longrod_von_Hugendong
Bronze badge

There was only 1...

Steve Jobs - so don't try to emulate him, you will only fail and people will know - be your own man.

That type of approach for M$ is wrong anyway they need someone who can manage the company and not look like a twat doing it - they need to look competent, that is what M$ has been missing for a long time.

If your name is Chip - change it, or if its a shortened version of something - make people use your full name, on pain of death, cos you instantly have no credibility, that is not a name, its a potato product.

Also slap your parents.

I like the pro because it can be upgraded, i replaced the ram and HDD in mine to keep it running. I have no plans to change it unless it dies. It running perfectly fast enough for me. So what is it? Mid 2009 13 inch mac book pro, ancient by anyones standards. I have to admit, Mavericks has speeded it up. Mountain Lion did make it feel less than snappy.

Apple Schill-er: 'I was shocked - SHOCKED! They went and copied the iPhone'

Longrod_von_Hugendong
Bronze badge
Devil

Hmmm....

I think people might be mixing up Bill Gates' tears of sadness with tears of joy, i think a lot of people will have tears of joy come the day.

Problem is for Samsung and Google is - here is a pre iPhone android / Samsung phone - holds up ugly crap phone(s) and here is one after iPhone... the case speaks for itself....

Its like America figuring out how to go to the moon, its hard the fist time - you have to figure it all out. but then once the good ideas are out there its easy.

Same with phone and tablet design, the hard bit is making it work, once you have that idea its easy, and Samsung should pay up.
