Cos its not a real sport...

Not interested.

Real Sport List - Cricket, Rugby, Yachting, power boat racing (I know we have our little pleasures)

Oaf Sport List - Australian rules football, football in general.

Boring sports - Rounders (AKA Baseball, Softball), Anything played with a ball where you need protection. see exception above, curling (Bowls on ice without the interest)

I am glad I have cleared that up for everyone. :D

Lack of customer service...

is not limited to slow moving passport lines - its endemic of most of the British service industry. The lack of sorry is terrible and completely inexcusable, peoples fear of being blamed for stuff is part of the problem as well. Without a radical rethink of customer service it will always be the same.

Windows Phone: Just as well Microsoft bought an Android maker, RIGHT?

Longrod_von_Hugendong

Facepalm

The entire enterprise...

is the worlds largest face palm fail moment, M$ knows nothing about mobile devices, nor has it learnt after getting its fingers burnt (Hello Zune)

Nokia, market leader in mobiles / smart phones manage to flush it all away by basically having no clue what so ever what was happening. The only saving grace is Nokia hardware is (was) pretty good. Well, was until about 12 months ago. Have you seen the screen burn in on demo Nokias? WTF is happening there.

This will go on for about 18 months or so, until M$ dumps the whole lot, and Nokia just builds some good Android hand sets, it would have more than a chance to rival Samsung et al, like it *should have done 2 years ago*

M$ would have been better trying to buy RIM, they at least have some competent people, although the management have managed to mixed up their aftershave with the way the wind is blowing. Maybe a realty fist in the face could bring them back. Windows phone is currently an also ran, and will stay that way unless Apple and Andriod do a Nokia, which probably won't happen certainly not in the next 2 - 4 years.

If you don't want to pay don't select it. Its not like you are being *forced* to do it.

I know its punishing stupid people a bit, but there you go, welcome to a free market economy.

Hello and welcome...

The the bandwagon of no original ideas! We do have lots of hyped bullshit though.

Digital assistants like that don't work, I have an iPhone - Siri was turned off out of the box because

they works perfectly in the house where and when my hands are free, the second I actually need it, there is either no 3G coverage, or its to slow to work. Secondly there is background noise like in the car and whilst it works, it so garbled to be no use at all. Might as well just not bother. I might try it again but probably not.

Three's money man reveals UK mobe firms' DARK PRICING dealings

Longrod_von_Hugendong
Bronze badge
Thumb Up

I just moved to three...

because where I live in Scotland I get better data (3G) coverage than O2 or Vodaphone. If i have to be honest, 4G doesn't interest me since 3G speeds pretty much covers everything I need. Sometimes its as fast as my ADSL. Signal seems just as good. 08 numbers have always been a pain in the ass, even for landlines where they are never covered as part of free anything. That is way saynoto0870.com exists. I would suggest people go and take a look.

ofcom are useless pile of pish - always have been, always will be. So get used to that. Something really needs to be done about it.

It's EE vs Vodafone: 'How good is my signal' study descends into network bunfight

Longrod_von_Hugendong
Bronze badge

I just moved...

From Vodaphone due to poor 3G coverage - 2G coverage is fine, but 3G is shockingly bad. Also, I started to notice that when I was in the middle of the city, I would have 2G, i found if i turned off 3G and turned it back on I would have 3G then until I got booted back to 2G. I suspect its something like a QOS thing but I never automatically got back on 3G - so off they go.
