Sounds to me...

Like you bought the wrong phone. Mind you, you probably figured that one out in the first couple of weeks.

Smartwatch sales off to a very slow start

Longrod_von_Hugendong

The reason for low sales...

is Apple hasn't released one that works and that people want, so nothing for the Korean company to copy. They are not good at coming up with a good design on their own.

Sounds like typical Dell...

Promise lots - deliver not much, but i think this is way things are going to go in the future, so these first stabs are going to tell us quite a bit on how not to do it.

Once this is bounced around in the wild, this will improve - until Apple comes along and does it properly.

All M$ need to do is give the user the option of running in which ever mode they want, if people want TIFKAM model then fine, if they want a start button and no TIFKAM, then let them work like that.

I mean *How hard can it be???* There is software out there that does it, what don't M$ get????

Maybe now the sweating monkey man on the way out maybe M$ can get there shit together now.

Not more shops, Close to where I live there are 2 shops within 3 mins walking distance.

Longrod_von_Hugendong

Hello and welcome...

The the bandwagon of no original ideas! We do have lots of hyped bullshit though.

Digital assistants like that don't work, I have an iPhone - Siri was turned off out of the box because

they works perfectly in the house where and when my hands are free, the second I actually need it, there is either no 3G coverage, or its to slow to work. Secondly there is background noise like in the car and whilst it works, it so garbled to be no use at all. Might as well just not bother. I might try it again but probably not.

Three's money man reveals UK mobe firms' DARK PRICING dealings

Longrod_von_Hugendong
Bronze badge
Thumb Up

I just moved to three...

because where I live in Scotland I get better data (3G) coverage than O2 or Vodaphone. If i have to be honest, 4G doesn't interest me since 3G speeds pretty much covers everything I need. Sometimes its as fast as my ADSL. Signal seems just as good. 08 numbers have always been a pain in the ass, even for landlines where they are never covered as part of free anything. That is way saynoto0870.com exists. I would suggest people go and take a look.

ofcom are useless pile of pish - always have been, always will be. So get used to that. Something really needs to be done about it.

It's EE vs Vodafone: 'How good is my signal' study descends into network bunfight

Longrod_von_Hugendong
Bronze badge

I just moved...

From Vodaphone due to poor 3G coverage - 2G coverage is fine, but 3G is shockingly bad. Also, I started to notice that when I was in the middle of the city, I would have 2G, i found if i turned off 3G and turned it back on I would have 3G then until I got booted back to 2G. I suspect its something like a QOS thing but I never automatically got back on 3G - so off they go.

Ouch - nasty for people who were using it...

Feel sorry for them, major pain in the ass - I have used GiffGaff an they were fine. I moved away from them because they changed how the top-ups worked, and we moved to a place were O2 signal was pretty hopeless. Pretty much no 3G anywhere unless in city centre.

Other than that - I had no problem with them at all.

They all suck the sweat off a dead mans balls by the look of it.

XP - Most popular, the one people want, has more security holes than Rab C Nesbits vest - so M$ are getting rid of it.

Vista - Basically windows ME for the new generation.

7 - Best of a bad bunch.

8.X - Appears to be Steve Ballmers madness made real, realising they have missed the iPhone / iPad revolution they best bang something out quickly.

There are better alternative out there, get moved away from M$ - I prefer a mac, but there you go.
