Re: Wouldn't it be simpler ?
Most of BT's tech support is in India so they block their own staff. Mind you maybe that's a good thing....

Assuming I can recreate the exact layout at work tomorrow I'm hoping some Apple henchmen will immediately shut the office down and give me a day off - hopefully on full pay. Then I can go to my local phone shop and buy either an Android, Blackberry, or Windows phone.
This is the smartest, fastest, and lightest patent yet (tm)
It's called the iMini me.
Both BMW and Mike Myers are about to be served with an injunction.
It's our smallest iPad yet.
It'll make playing Angry Birds bloody difficult 'cos you won't know whether to zoom in or out on those complex levels.
The maps won't be an issue as you won't be able to see them clearly anyway.
And it'll use a son of lightning connector
What was I missing?
How comes no one's managed to mention the iphone 5?
You're all slipping...
I'll start one:-
If Apple launched a bacon roll it would be three times as expensive as its closest rivals.
It would be the best bacon roll ever.
People would queue for it although sauce would cost extra and no doubt double or treble the going rate.
It would be slightly bigger than the old one although the bacon would be the same.
The chef would create a 5 minute video extolling its design features - thinner roll, lighter bacon etc.
Oh and the Samsung bacon roll would be sued even if it had Samsung toasted across the top of the roll.
How many down votes do I get?
I'd have thought with all the security alerts from the various banks I don't have accounts with I would be owed a rebate. Mind you the dodgy email is no worse than when you're called by working family tax credits each year and they promptly ask for all your details including NI number and postcode. I thought we' re not supposed to give out details over the phone. The last time I challenged them the woman got quite stroppy and told me to dial 1471. When I rang it turns out the number they use is incoming barred.
If I'd come back home and found that criminals had broken in and removed Fedora 17 and replaced it with either Windows or Apple I too would've been livid.
Actually not livid - annoyed. Come to think of it - confused.
Perhaps it was Steve Ballmer as the software was unlicensed?
Unless of course the nasty crims installed Ubuntu with that evil unity interface thingy. No wonder he's annoyed.
I really must stop thinking out loud on forums. Oh well back to adding places on my new mobile map app.
My company mobile was a Bold 9000. Totally reliable. Off the back of that reliability I stupidly got a Storm 2 - big mistake and given that I'd read many reviews about it and about ones that locked and were unreliable I should've known better. I also have access via work to various demo handsets and the touch screen ones still prove unreliable. But I would still like to see RIM bring out a decent model that gives the others a run for their money. Especially now that they're touting the bring your own device to work scenario.
The remove the battery feature to hang up a call? Funny that one hasn't been copied or patented by anyone.
A thoroughly tested OS will be nice that hasn't been rushed to catch up with the competition.
Mapping that keeps you on the same planet and doesn't give London Underground staff 15 minutes of fame.
An OS that doesn't cause global arguments over whose phone is best.
A decent price range of handsets and tariffs that are affordable.
An anti-riot feature.
Oh and more than one server location so that the next time the cleaner comes in and plugs the hoover in unplugging the network the service still works from its co-location.
