The fact that any staff can see your password shows how shit they are for starts! I recently tried with my wife to get my name ADDED to HER Lloyds acccount. The computer said no, the woman looked lost, tried again and had to ask me for ALL my details ALL OVER AGAIN, again computer says no. Went out, 10 mins later came back in, tried again, computer says no. She says dunno whats wrong and nor do the technical people. Wow, maybe you lot should go on a college course in basic computing! especially the technical staff responsible for keeping things running who didn't know what was wrong! They should go get a job at PC world, they'd do just fine!
Add that to other Lloyds experiences, again through a partner shows why I've always said they are shit and they keep proving me right!
Oh look, something useful that people use and enjoy, let's fuck it and make it annoying and make it acceptable practice .. like post (junk mail), email (spam), texting (text spam), driving (speed cameras), telephones (junk calls), local numbers 07dialaripofftomakemycompanylotsofmoney), internet (adds/flash adds/ java adds/billion top level domain names) .. need I go on?
We've contacted Be's parent company O2 for an explanation
AAAAAAAAAhahahahaahaha, aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh hahahahahaha.
Yeah right!! O2 are shite in my experience which is why back in the day when they were called BTCellnet I left their shite service and have never touched them since!
O2 often get bad press which like the freeserve wanadoo etc debacle goes to prove what 've always said, changing the name of shite doesn't make it any less shite!
MY PC is password protected too, corrrr my security is as strong as the home office!! ... oh, that means my security is shit. Still at least I'm not as stupid as that lot, I LEARN from my mistakes and others mistakes unlike this repetitive lot. What muppet though oooh lets send it on CD, I know millions of peoples data keeps geting lost on posted CD's but hey lets do something different, send it on a CD AND password it! That'll make it arrive .... DUH! it wont get lost ... DUUH! and its passworded so it's even safer ... DUUUH!!! Why don't they give important jobs to babies, they'd do a damn sight better job!
I'm not going to knock them, as since Virgin took over NTL service over the last 12 months HAS improved. Took them a while to sort out the mess NTL had made but they appear to have done something about it. My broadband doesn't keep going down on me like it used to so I'm a happy chap!
It's a BAG ffs! At least in England if I want a bad at the supermaket I just pick one up! What next? ... "would you like the red, yellow, green, purple, or arange bag sir? ... ok, would you like that degradable, bio degradable, non degradable, recyclable or a corn bag ..."
Oh look, we missed an address, let's cry about it and pretend it's theft. World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) & the Lewis estate are the thieving bastards here. If I was Richard and Fiona Saville-Smith I'd make it my lifes work to expose the Lewis estate for what they did and are; thieving scum that took a childs domain name just because it was the name of some dead fucker and the estate had missed the name so were loosing money from the dead man.
GET A JOB AND LIFE Lewis's YOU THIEVING SCUM!
That's my opinion anyway.
America - Feeding the thieves:
Nick a phone from say the UK, where it will get blocked, sell it to America and voila the phone works again! America has made it's own black market for stolen phones. Steal to order for America! Nice one, right off to mug a few hundred people so I can nick their phones and sell them to a dodgy american who can sell them on knowing that American networks are too stupid to block stolen goods!
PMSL. loved it, love how it looped back when another person entered the room, classic!!
And it is also so very true and I smiled as I read the story. Many a time I've entered a room and noticed a different hum, knowing a fan on a PC needs a good clean and lube, or smelling a fried pc components smell and knowing sommething isn't right!
11/10 excellent writing!
premiershiplive ISN'T a trade mark so what a load of BOLLOX. As usual. YES it's an illegal activity but NO premiershiplive ISN'T! "Barclays" is a TM, "Barclays Premiership" may be a TM, but not "premiership" ffs.
What next? InternetTV.net .. you can't have that, Sky is a TV broadcaster so therefore automagically own TV TM ?. Am I the only one sick of this kind of bollox be it legit or not ?
DAB oddly hasn't taken off, if they oddly bothered to listen (novel idea; listening to people!) to the chatter of anyone who has ever tried DAB, they would very soon realise why it's little used.
1. Reception strength is, to put it mildly, crap! You can have full strength, move a foot and find silence as it dissapears! move back and you have full strength again. This is using a portable walkman(TM) style receiver; although holding it above your head sometimes helps .. ahem!
2. Until recently everyone decied that DAB radio's MUST be made to look like they are made in the 1940's and out of wood. Only now are radio's coming out that actually look modern or slightly stylish! I'd still be hard pushed now to find a radio that would look nice sitting on a Technic's hifi, or to go with a group of Denon seperates. I also couldn't find ANYTHING that had DAB, FM, MP3, which I could rig out of sight and control on my motorbike by a wired remote control. An ipod has a wired remote, some radio's and mp3's do, but there aint anything like it for DAB.
3. How much?!! ... a portable cassette player £5, A portable CD player £15, a portabel MP3 player £15, a portable FM radio £2, a portable DAB radio £60 ... hmmmm ... I wonder what I DEFINATELY wont be buying!
Listen to people and make these changes and then there will be a product worth buying to replace old FM equipment! As it stands all I'd ever buy DAB for is to stick in my kitchen in a place where it's never moved (so I don't loose the reception), and where it's not seen (as it's ugly)
"Some anti-GTA IV campaigners have already jumped on both incidents as proof that such games are too violent for society."
Well duuuuuuuh! So playstation 3's are evil too becasue the same happened with them, and X box's. Crikey we'd better just ban all computer consoles and games!
I say these anti-GTA IV campaigners are TOO DUMB! for society!
Laswell explains: "On several occasions I have started to do some exercising and my vision went blurry and I felt like I was going to pass out ..."
That's not due to lack of food, it's probably due to you being an overweight, lazy twat! who's not done excercise for years!
AUTOMATED ALERT: The guy that bought them awful green and white striped trousers last week has just walked back in to the store ... see what else you can flog him.
-OR-
The stock level has just increased by 1 (re entering store at a later point weeks after buying said goods).
Oh, nope it's now gone down again.
Just think of the fun sales staff can have!
The guy with loadsa money is back in the store wearing his new jacket, quick, get some sales staff around him!
On Firefox the active X installer HUNG.
Closed, reopened, all went ok this time.
It starts an update ... error updating, retry .. error updating. close Firefox, re open, tryi again, error updating, what a load of crap!
Open IE instead, oh look active x installed ok, oooh the update page gies me an eror to BUT this time it also shows hat it is trying to install ANOTHER active X .. never asked me for that 1 in Firefox! Accepted it and eh voila scan is running.
So conclusion for panda ... they want you to run it on the very very secure IE as it doesn't seem to like the incredibly well know insecure firefox (sarcasm!).
My verdict? If panda can't get something as simple as this to run on anything other than IE which people worried about security DON'T use then how can they spout all this about security on peoples pc's? It's there bad programming that forced me to use a less secure browser!! Good to have confirmation that I made the correct decision not to use panda software all these years :D
I like olympus camera's for their simplicity, good value and good quality pics, oh and pretty robust too. I've had a few now and my next one will be olympus too, glad to see they've stuck with keeping the UI simple :)
I'm happy to be called a techie geek! :) like many it's not offensive to us!
That said what a cock up O2 pmsl, I've avoid O2 ever since my 1st experience with them back in the day they were BT Cellnet. A strong signal and mid convo it would just crop the connection. No warning, no breakup, no drop in signal, just bam, gone!
It became funny as I'd talk to others on another network and it would happen and when they called back and said sorry I would say "are you on O2 by chance?" and they'd be shocked and say "yeeeeeees. How did you know that????".
That was yeaaaaaaaaars ago, but it was enough of a bad experience to make me return to vodafone an orange. I wonder how many others like me avoid them because of the same?
"The research indicates between 27-68 per cent of storage subsystem failures come from physical interconnects."
Bit of a difference! saying between a quarter and nearly 3 quarters of all disks is akin to saying between 1-100% of disks fail!
CRAP STATISTICAL RESULTS!
Yes feedback could have been better BUT, I say well done to Amazon for getting it back up so quickly. All too often I read about outages that go on , and on and on, and when it say it's been restored lots of people shout oh no it hasn't!
So well done Amazon on getting it back up so quickly.
I have to say I REALLY enjoyed the sheer simplicity and clever nature of this one and even took time out to say nice one!! I would have loved the story to have continued to then show the complete failure of the whole server room after a surge takes the lot down and then subsequently the manager gets a right dressing down/sacking from the top! True smugness is always better! ;)
Go in loo & trash it, then call them and tell them the place is a mess, the person who used the loo before you gets blamed!
Or how about PAYG phones, no contract means no tracability as to who owns the phone. OK they could have my number traced but would they REALLY go to all that effort and cost?
Bit of a pointless excercise if you ask me, right I'm off for a wazz ... up the outside of this silly text to open loo ;) much cheaper!
Me thinks Paris came up with this dumb as idea!
