Diplomacy or bust

We are shooting the whole planetary upward spiral with our King Kong military, defense of smokestacks, and sacrificing the future generation to a bleak environmental future. Our government is actively killing demand for our industries yet keep picking our pockets for furthering chaos and destruction across the globe to impose a system most don't want.

Chinese are no dummies and they know how to get even with unitary mindset to accomplish objectives instead moving in molasses.

The wise course would be to develop diplomacy, trade, win-win for all residence of the spaceship earth. We pay our government to work in all areas. They seem to prefer the easy task of giving orders to use King Kong instead of our diplomats whose work is intricate like watch makers/jewelers to create something long lasting instead of good will for the next election cycle.

We must put our diplomatic house in order and start putting leash on our King Kong. The world is developing weapons against the King Kong and if it fails (which it has frequently since Vietnam) in a big contest, we are TOAST! All the vengeance accumulated over 75 years will be unleashed on US....

Scientists learned to duplicate politicians

Politicians can convert thin air into $tillions. Scientists finally found a way to duplicate their method in the vital energy field. Alas, it has even worse problem than money. from thin air.

Make everyone more efficient/effective/happy. Employees are not prisoners

Management studies in 40's, 50's, 60's and beyond revealed that employees perform best when left to utilize time fit for them to achieve job objectives provided recruitment, selection, appointments are handled properly. Only essential people who needs to meet and greet public/clients need to be present at the office and they can be made much efficient if rotated with those who work from home.

Office imprisonment is so pre-21st century. Soon we shall have quantum computing and 5G+. There is a huge gap between the potential and reality. Will the managers of the pre-21st century wake up?

Trade war/supplies disruption/covid?

I thought the chip shortage started with the trade war, supplies got disrupted, the covid and its sons continued taking its toll, now all three are combined. US factories cannot produce enough supplies, prices go crazy, incompetent industries unable to compete can reap a lot of profit.

Every hot war in the past was preceded with a trade war (1 and II both). Are we on the path to the III? SCS and Pivot to Pacific seems to indicate so....

Nothing helps efficient industries like fair competition. Nothing destroys a society faster than a trade war....

How come other countries have overcome this issue for the past at least five years. Is Corporate America falling behind with all the pile of weal/resources at their disposal?

I hope this becomes a trend against all hacking spyware floating around abusing cyberspace for power and profiteering at any cost. Any company whose software is attacked by known and proven attackers should be sued and their responsible officers be thrown into the slammer in addition to losing their shirts, trousers and being tar/feathered....

People buy gadgets to enhance the quality of their lives, not be spied upon and abused.

Another plague is the telemarketers. Now they have a way to call from fake local numbers and no one is there to defend the taxpayers from these wolves of cyberspace.

Take any smart application interacting with customers, if any problem that needs info out of its structured system, it will fail. It shows how limited machine learning is and how much we still need live people to answer questions.

What saves many corporations money is making customers scream, waste their time while taxing their limited sanity left over from frustrating work environment.

Handouts to private corporations who fail to be competitive in the global marketplace? Is this capitalism or corporate communism? If taxpayers pay to keep or improve a private corporations, their board must have representatives of the public permanently so the public will have a share of the profit and the workers have a say in how the company is run.

Why waste public money to prop up a failing/uncompetitive private outfit if individual business people are forced to go bust.

Can this lead to weapons taking over and creating an empire of their own, turning the commanders into their slaves? Machine learning, autonomous weapons? What else will DOD come up with to get more money?

Privatization has gone insane. Most privatized endeavors seem to cut corners, pass taxes to individuals, beg/force taxpayers bailouts (private profits/communist risk), fails to provide service at critical times (Texas blackouts/freez the latest fiasco), gouging consumers (again Texas price gouging 10,000%), are basically callous to human needs and life systems.

Best to have critical services socialized, give private sector controlled profiteering before they destroy USA with never ending wars (transfer of funds to guns from bread while being the most powerful yet wasteful nation in history), destroy the planetary life system.....

I wonder how Julian Assange feels about freedom of information/press/human rights/journalist rights from "democracies" especially Australia, France, UK, US, all of whom praised him and gave him awards until he published things they did NOT like....

Human rights/truth is a strange subject; it seems tp morph into different forms depending on the angle of observers....

Of course everyone knows the coalition of the willing is spreading "democracy" in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, but did not complete doing so in Syria and the remaining axis of evil....

Any agreement that reduces chance of war

Any rational human would agree that any agreement with nuke powers is a good idea to prevent chance of starting MAD. The planet is sitting on a powder keg. If it lights up, kiss our dear rearies bye, bye....

Trade Wars Created Two Major Wars In The Past 75 Years

Tariffs create protective walls to coddle industries that cannot compete in the market. Excuse is government subsidies by a foreign government of their industries. Imagine our dirty energy and technologies without Feds subsidies in the form of military expansion, research and development, and outright tax loopholes...

Tariffs also jack up the price for consumers (price gouging by governments) in addition to forced transfer of funds from the consumers to producers.

Tariffs are also forced taxation through one man's order without the people's approval through Congress or public debate.

In the past, trade wars have led to international bang, bang. It seems, if unchecked, the current military preparations around the globe seems to be leading towards that. Funds are being transferred to war machinery, even NUKES, and positioning of war systems at the doors of the two major competitors. Imagine industrial scale war under the MAD regime and consequences for planet earth. FIREBALL then FREEZE despite rosey predictions to the contrary and private bunkers with survival kits for 10 or more years underground.....

Only beneficiaries of tariffs are a few inefficient industries, a government that is scared of raising taxes and the military for a short time. Afterwards, it destroys the home that was supposed to be protected. Do we see the sign now as we see gutting of the economies of the planet, creating an atmosphere of everyone for the self and a looming war that could perish all?

NSA's payback?

If NSA can track every computer, cell phone, and voice on the planet and spy on heads of states, then spying on the US becomes an obligation for self-defence.

Needed: International law for privacy and rules of conduct for nations, corporations with NSA and other spooks around the world watching over who breaks them then bring them to International Court of Justice with the full force of all the world united against any individual, corporation or state....

Looking at the way incompetence is blamed on others and the value of having boogeyman for corralling the sheep, one should always take whatever any government, especially the ones that have lied time and again, with a huge bag of salt.....Blaming others for its own failures is the oldest trick in the bag of all governments...

They should find a way to reveal the real identity of the callers and allow people to bring class action suits against them. Hit them hard in the pocket. Set the attorneys loose on them. That will stop them all. $$$$ always work both ways....

If one digs a little below the appearance, three are many scammers running charities. Check a few in the US. I know at least two directors who have gotten wealth scamming people through their nonprofits.....

When are the US citizens going to be protected from cookie monsters?

Trade wars leads to real wars. Our planet is at stake for both.

We have seen this game in the two major wars. When one economy gets too successful, another may feel threatened and starts a trade war. This is just protecting industries that cannot compete. US subsidize almost all companies through tax loopholes, direct subsidies, and other ways.

IF a hot war between any two major economies starts and leads to nukes, we all should kiss our dear rearies goodbye. No fan of M. Dell but good job at this instance for knocking some sense in flip-flopping trade warriors.

Now hopefully other CEOs tell the current power elite to get on with economic competition by helping industries become efficient to compete in price and quality in the international markets instead of erecting mud dikes to hold consumers here hostage to artificially inflated prices and make others bypass us all together, leading to the irrelevancy of our economy eventually.

Who doesn't spy?

Google, Apple, NSA, UK, et. al. all spy for either "security" reasons, commercial reasons or industrial espionage. Spying on people and among states is probably older than oldest profession.

Every time someone develops a weapon, someone else feels threatened and develops a trap or a more threatening weapon. I suppose as long as the civilian economy is playing dead, the military industrial complex maggots will keep munching on it until it is gone.....

When management becomes more interested in golf and making deals instead of tending company essential business ([responsible operations, social responsibility to clients and one's geographic location), peoples' lives are sacrificed. Let's hope the top management is sued and forced to pay from personal account the useless loss of lives in two negligent accidents....
