PICS: Nokia Lumia 930 – We reveal its ONE unique selling point

PEBCAK

I seriously think Microsoft's problem is its users. Windows 8 is a great PC os which is miles ahead of windows 7, but they had to botch w7 features back in to satisfy people who just 'Don't like change'. The same is true with WP8.1 its a vast improvement on wp8 and seems to be getting more hate than its predecessor. The app problem is non existent, I'm a heavy phone user and never complain about missing any apps. People need to pull their collective heads out of their backsides and look at products for what they are.

Re: An EULA is NOT a "contract"

However I agree it is tantamount to extortion and is rather immoral, but otherwise...no software!

Re: An EULA is NOT a "contract"

Contacts can however be modified or varied if consented to. In the case of an EULA, as you say you are asked whether you agree to this 'variation'. If not, then you may no longer enjoy the benefit of the product - there is most likely a clause in the EULA stipulating that the terms are subject to change etc etc. which you initially consented to, thus enabling the company to introduce such variations.

An EULA is a contract and is legally binding, breach of an EULA can potentially render you liable for whatever the breach is.

FAIL

Re: Numpty and EULAs

So the purpose of court cases to decide remedies for breach of contract? Indeed to decide whether any such breach ocurred? No its not a criminal offence, but a breach of contract is still legally actionable.

Numpty.

Meh

Why review the low end?

Think this is a little bit of an unfair review...as mentioned, there are a vast number of 'sub' models - I own a 6b07ea which has the A6-3410MX Quad 1.6-2.3GHz, Radeon HD 6755G2 Dual Graphics, 8GB DDR3 RAM, BluRay, 1TB HDD (stupidly still 5400 though...) along with beats audion, aluminium chassis, fingerprint reader etc.......

Overall it feels like a powerful laptop when you're using it, and has a solid kind of feel to it too. I'm really impressed with mine :)

As far as 1366x768 goes, yes it looks good, but for everyday use, word processing etc, i find it quite uncomfortable to look at on a 15"panel, maybe that's just my eyesight though :p

Just wanted to chip in as there are some excellent options in this range, not represented by the reviewed model
