Re: Too Many Stories!
Similar design flaw in my HP G2 Docking station the whole top of the cube is the on/off switch so it's almost impossible to plug/unplug anything in to the docking station without turning the laptop off.

I see some venues are saying its the law that they must have the app's QR code and that us punters must scan it if we want to enter, is this true?
I went to the official site for venues to generate their QR code and it's all very polite, use of "should" rather than "must"
If it is mandatory seems strange that's not publicised more, maybe the buffoons national address on Tuesday night could have been a good time.
At the very least mandatory scanning of codes would drive the uptake of the app, which is a key requirement for such apps.
I too have had many conversations with VM over the previous known issue with the Puma6 using Hub3.
On one of my many calls I had a very interesting chat with a 2nd level network guy who struggled to stick to the official company line.
Although the front line call centre numpties aren't aware that there is an issue, the network guys are.
He would like to send me an old Superhub2 or Superhub 2ac but there aren't any in stock and the few they did have hanging around have all been sent out to irate gamers. So it's not that they won't send out old kit, it's that they can't.
Also and this will upset the very sensible crowd who just want a modem that does one thing well, VM want to get rid of separate Tivo/V6 and Hubs and just have one box in the house that does everything. The telephony sockets on the back of the hub3 are a sign of things to come.
So maybe I should say I do feel sorry for the few competent techies who work there.
Guess what arrived in the post yesterday, another unasked for Hub3. I'll add it to the pile. Is this the future of consumer distribution using the consumer as localized warehouses?
I was hoping for some more rational comment on El Reg about this but no it's the same kiddie whines here as in the official forums.
Yes it's a new game so you will have to pay money up front., that includes the first 30 days.
Yes it's a new & popular MMO so you will have to pay a monthly fee.
It's an MMO so the servers will go down for patching, and no matter what time they choose it will inconvenience someone. So night time East Coast USA, working/school day Europe is probably the best case option.
People seem to forget it hasn't even been out a month yet
