Got to be Slippy & Cowgirl.
Re: You can see our house from up there!
Do you two live next door to me or something?
It was, until they bought Alienware. XPS is more the 'Premium' brand rather than performance nowadays.
"Is there a reason you've totally hidden the "comments" box?"
Top left. So that those who want to make reactionary uninformed comments without reading the article don't have to scroll to the bottom :)
Re: I just don't get it...
"fuck the people sitting next to me"
Be rude not to, really.
Re: "If Elop was not a Trojan horse, then he would have kept Symbian and Meego alive"
@Eadon: "Elops destruction of Nokia only makes sense if he's a trojan horse, nothing else fits."
Seems odd that you'd make the assertion that Ballmer is doing the same thing to MS, and then come up with that in the very same thread!
Why not say:
Ballmer's destruction of Microsoft only makes sense if he's a (Linux/Unix/open source) trojan horse, nothing else fits.
Re: Thanks, Ace.
It'll taste almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea.
Correct, they're referring to the online lesbian magazine.
26 for me
Which seems to put me much higher up the list than I'd expected!
Re: Good review...
Easy explanation for lack of fauna - any species that run towards explosions/gun fire/big metal exoskeletons have become extinct. The fauna's there, it's just heading rapidly away from you :)
Loved the 7th Guest
D was good as well, although I suspect it hasn't aged well.
Half Life gave me a few jumpy moments, and the Ravenholm level in HL2...
The opening of Bioshock, where you're trapped in the Bathysphere had the heart racing too!
Re: Still no Zombies?
There were loads out last night. Killed about 15 of them myself. Dunno why they were all carrying sweets.
In these cases, I tend read 'Hacked'
as mate got hold of my phone & stitched me up...
Always worked for me. TIFKAM is too much of a mouthful too.
Union Flag parachute, Lotus, Underwater Lair, Sharks, Jaws, Barbara Bach and Caroline Munro (mmm Naomi). Not to mention a cracking theme song :)
Ooo forgot how good that track is... Hope it's on Spoitfy!
Re: I followed that link to the past excuses.
Lost a 2-week old pair of Raybans once this way.
Funnily enough, I've not done it again since!
That website's horrific
And why are the 24-month mobile broadband prices higher than the 18-month?
Re: Bullshit pricing
It's not a Bethesda title - they're just publishing it.
Arkane Studios are the development team.
Enjoying it so far, do keep thinking at points that Batman: AC was more fun though.
Re: Not eccentric - intelligent, practical and sensible.
Don't work in my office do you?
Re: How did pork
Breadcrumbs, Red, White, No.
And now that's done, we can talk Super Noodle sandwiches.
I'll start with... Bacon flavour :)
Re: But what about the books?
Yeah, that got a laugh in the cinema.
He orders the drink as described above near the start of the card game.
There's a moment of quiet reflection, then most of the rest of the players order one too. Le Chiffre is a little wound up by this.
Re: It doesn't take take thousands of years
The Algebraist by Iain M. Banks had some similar issues in the semi-background.
People on the slow ships being overtaken by the quicker method.
And then the quicker method gets broken.
To all not getting these columns...
... I prescribe catching some episodes of Nathan Barley.
Not making sense is much of the point of these columns :)
Because I like the word.
Re: Tried to rate article 11 out of 10
That's because Christopher Guest holds the patent on that.
The Poster Who Was Thursday?
Nope, it's the very definition of a procedural show, which they all are & the production of which the US have got down to a fine art.
Re: I think she's read "The Culture: Look to Winward"
The Dwellers were wheel shaped or something?
Sounds more like his companion the littler Hathering or whatever her name was.
Loved playing this years ago, you're right that not many other sports games can matched its fast & fun gameplay!
On a pedantic note, in his current role as England manager, Roy Hodgson doesn't actually have the option to buy & sell players...
Re: Arse Technica
I'd attribute it to AutoCorrect myself.
Re: From the article and comments, we can deduce 2 things;
Re: Frank Frankovsky
Finally, somebody commented on it :)
Re: 30 RUN
It appears he's not the only one!
Re: Why is it only for premium users?
I seriously doubt the pricing model is the dev's decision ;)
Re: Beta is good
I hope they hurry release then, the current version is ruddy awful!
Re: Surely an invention?
I'm wondering myself!
Re: I tried reading about it, via the link
Thanks. Not entirely happy with the analogy, but it'll suffice.
It's a while since I've been in the lab!
Re: I tried reading about it, via the link
ELISA is kinda like panning for gold, but with a much higher accuracy.
The rest of the TLA's are basically just telling you the colour & shape of the pan :)
I reckon El Reg killed it...
By linking them in the Aviva story.
No, no, it's the biography of Robert Downey Jr. he did.
Still don't see the relevance though.
Also, thumbs up for Iain M. Banks.
The Algebraist is one of my favourite books, and I'm just finishing Excession for about the 6th time.
I'd highly recommend Star Maker by Olaf Stapledon. Blew my mind.
Last & First Men by the same author isn't a bad read either.
I think the implication is weight of the BB spread over surface area of you. Or a suitably chosen standard human.
Re: real coders use notepad
You seem to have toned it down a bit on this one Dominic!
Still a good read though, thanks.
"Determined to thank him, the King burned down the forest in the hope of smoking him out so he could find him. Sadly Jie and his elderly mother died in the fire."
Is it wrong that I find that utterly hilarious?
Sounds like something from a Douglas Adams novel!
Re: If you really have too much money ...
So she's sitting on your spike?
Re: Either finance or defense - drugs and pr0n markets just too small
I believe Porsche have long made more money from financial dealings than from selling cars.
